Theater History
In 1988, the author’s theater "At the Bridge" (Perm) was founded. A photo of the building is presented above. This is the first mystical theater in the world. That is what its founder, artistic director and director - S.P. Fedotov. Initially, it was a youth studio under his leadership, where he began to experiment, to seek his own style. All this resulted in the opening of the “At the Bridge” theater, which was located in the Palace of Culture of the Telephone Plant and gave its performances in its Small Hall. N. Erdman. The premiere took place on October 7, 1988. This day is officially considered the birthday of the theater. In 1992, his troupe moved to its own building. Then the theater received urban status. The first performance played on a new stage was “Marriage” N.V. Gogol. A magical world reigns in the theater, which is created thanks to a special repertoire consisting of plays by authors such as M. Bulgakov, B. Stoker, N.V. Gogol, F.M. Dostoevsky and others. The theater gained wide fame thanks to the cycle of Gogol's productions.
Creator and Leader
Theater "At the Bridge" (Perm) was created by Honored Artist of Russia, Laureate of the National Prize "Golden Mask" - Sergey Pavlovich Fedotov. For his production of “Dog Heart” in the Czech Republic, he was awarded the title of best director and became the first foreigner in history to receive such an award in this country.
Sergey Pavlovich was born in Perm, here he received a director's education at the Institute of Arts and Culture. The performances staged by him are bright, original and known far beyond the borders of his hometown. Spectators come to Perm from various cities of Russia specifically in order to see his productions. Sergey Pavlovich Fedotov is a science fiction and mystic, he offers his viewers new playing relationships, a special acting style to exist on stage. It is original, paradoxical, grotesque, and thanks to it, the actors are completely immersed in the space of the other world.
The performances of the theater "At the bridge" are diverse in genres. There are tragedies, comedies, detective stories, parables, but in all of them there is magic, mysticism and mystery, superhuman forces invariably invade the action of each production. This is the director’s view on theatrical art and on life, on the relationship of man with the worlds - internal and external.
