In our country, soup is an integral attribute of any lunch, so children are taught to it from early childhood. From grandmothers, everyone remembered that a liquid first is necessary. True, today experts argue about whether soups are so useful for children. Someone refers to the fact that the broth contains a lot of carcinogens and other harmful substances. Those who advocate a different point of view say that it is very useful for digestion.
Moms listen carefully to all this, and most of them agree that soups are needed for children. Indeed, if there is doubt about the usefulness of
meat broth, you can do without it.
Soups for children up to a year or a little older are a lifeline for many mothers, and this is due to the fact that not all babies have a smooth transition process from mashed potatoes to food, and the already mentioned first can be considered an intermediate stage. And many of them generally refuse the second, and the only way to give such a child meat is soup.
To prepare the first dish, the baby on meat broth preferably:
- use lean beef, turkey or chicken fillet;
- cut meat into small pieces immediately;
- boil the meat for several minutes in water, then drain it, then fill the pan with clean water and only then cook the soup.
The change of water is due to the fact that the harmful substances contained in meat (carcinogens, synthetic additives, hormones) are released into the liquid when it boils and in the first minutes of cooking, so the broth cooked in this way will be much "cleaner". So this recommendation will not be redundant for adults.
Soups for young children are cooked without the use of garlic, pepper, bay leaf and seasoning with a pungent odor. Vegetables before laying in the broth are not subjected to passivation. If the baby has not eaten slices yet, the cooked soup can be chopped in a blender. In soups for children from a year, the above spices can be added.
Cooking recipes
Two simple ways of making soups are described below, slightly modifying which, you can feed both a small child and an older child.
Vermicelli Chicken Soup
It is brewed very quickly, and it will bring pleasure to both children and adults. By the way,
chicken broth is very useful for colds, so soup based on it is an excellent way to restore strength.
The following ingredients are used for cooking:
- 1 chicken breast;
- a pair of medium potatoes;
- 1 carrot;
- 1 clove of garlic;
- half an onion (optional);
- bay leaf, pepper (peas), dill and parsley.
- shallow vermicelli.
Rinse the chicken breast, cut into small pieces and boil for five minutes, change the water. Add vegetables (everything except potatoes) and spices to the pan, cook for 10 minutes. After that add potatoes, bring to a state of readiness. Add vermicelli and greens to the pan for 3 minutes. The soup for the children is ready. If the dish is intended for a baby up to a year, spices can be excluded, leaving only the greens.
Cream of broccoli, carrot and cauliflower soup
These vegetables can not be called beloved by everyone, but the cream soup from them turns out to be very tasty, and their benefits to the body are very great.
For cooking, the following components are used:
- a piece of turkey fillet (300-400 grams);
- half a head of broccoli and the same amount of cauliflower;
- 1 carrot;
- cream 10% - 500-700 ml;
- 1 clove of garlic;
- 150 grams of parmesan cheese.
Cooking is not at all complicated: the meat must be washed and cut into medium pieces, boiled for 5 minutes, drained. Cream is added to it (you can slightly dilute it with water), chopped carrots and garlic. At the same stage, salt and pepper are added.
Broccoli and cauliflower are cooked very quickly, so they are put in a pan when the meat and carrots are almost ready, while they must first be washed and sorted into inflorescences. Ready soup is ground in a blender. Sprinkle with grated parmesan before serving.
Similar cream soups for children can be prepared using any vegetables in various combinations.
