One of the newest medications, which is famous for its very high effectiveness, is the antibiotic Sumamed. This explains the fact that doctors quite often prescribe it to children as well. Parents should know that this is a fairly powerful drug with a wide spectrum of action. In addition, it is available not only in the form of tablets, but also as "Sumamed" - suspension for children. Also, "Sumamed" is used to treat diseases of the duodenum and stomach, which are associated with Helicobacter pylori, necessarily in combination with other drugs and antisecretory drugs. It is also suitable for the treatment of cervicitis / urethritis. Here the doses and duration of treatment are selected individually by the doctor.

The powder is diluted with boiled or distilled water. To do this, add 12 ml, if the substance is 400 mg, and 18 ml, if 800 mg, to the vial with the active substance. In 5 ml of the finished suspension of the main active substance, that is, azithromycin, contains 100 mg. Accordingly, 5 ml of Sumamed Forte suspension for children contain 200 mg of the basic substance. It is recommended to store the prepared suspension for no more than 5 days.

Shake the contents of the vial thoroughly until uniform before use. Be sure to immediately give the child a few sips of tea immediately after taking the antibiotic. This will help flush out the mouth and swallow the rest of the suspension.
