This simple but very delicious dessert will surely be appreciated by true lovers of homemade cakes. It is prepared from inexpensive and readily available ingredients, and the process itself does not take much time. To make such a roll, you will need:
- 25 grams of sugar.
- 130 milliliters of water.
- 270 grams of baking flour.
- 80 milliliters of vegetable oil.
- The yolk of one egg.
- A pinch of salt.
All these components are part of the dough, which will become the basis for the preparation of apple roll. To make a delicious filling, you will need:
- 65 grams of sugar.
- A pair of ripe apples.
- 250 grams of fresh cottage cheese.
- 5 g of cinnamon.
- 11 g vanilla sugar.
Heated water is combined with vegetable oil, sugar, salt and flour. All is well mixed and divided into two parts. Each of the pieces of dough is rolled out in a thin layer and covered with a filling made of mashed cottage cheese, chopped apples, cinnamon, vanilla and regular sugar. The softened butter is ground with whole egg and sugar. Mashed cottage cheese, salt and flour are added to the resulting mass. All is thoroughly kneaded, covered with a clean cloth and cleaned for an hour and a half in the refrigerator. Then the dough is divided into three pieces. Each of them is rolled out in a thin layer, covered with a layer of chopped apples, rolled up, greased with beaten egg yolk and sent to a warm oven. Bake products at 200 degrees until lightly browned.
Option with puff base and nuts
This interesting recipe will probably come in handy for busy housewives who do not have the opportunity to spend a lot of time in the kitchen. It turns out a very delicious crispy apple roll from puff pastry with juicy flavorful filling. To prepare such baking, you will need:
- Egg.
- A kilo of puff pastry.
- 500 grams of ripe apples.
- A pinch of cinnamon, sugar, walnuts and bread crumbs.
Thawed dough is laid out on a work surface and slightly rolled out with a rolling pin. Ground nuts mixed with sugar, breading and cinnamon are evenly distributed on it. Shredded apples are spread on top. All this is rolled up, greased with pre-beaten egg and placed in a hot oven. Bake dessert at a moderate temperature for about 40 minutes.

- Plate of finished puff pastry.
- Zest from a quarter of a lemon.
- A few sour apples.
- 1/3 teaspoon of cinnamon.
- Egg.
Finely chopped apples are spread on the fully thawed rolled dough. All this is sprinkled with a mixture of sugar, grated lemon peel and ground cinnamon, and then rolled up. The resulting product is greased with a slightly beaten egg and sent to a warm oven. Bake dessert at 190 degrees for half an hour.
Jam option
This is one of the simplest recipes for apple roll (photos of such desserts can be found in today's article). It is interesting in that it involves the use of not fresh fruit, but a ready-made jam. To make such a treat, you will need:
- 140 grams of baking flour.
- 3 eggs.
- 20 ml of refined vegetable oil.
- 160 grams of sugar.
- 90 milliliters of boiled water.
- Apple jam.
Beat eggs with sugar until a lush, lightened mass is obtained. Then, little by little, flour is added there. All is thoroughly kneaded and poured on oiled parchment. Bake the base at 185 degrees for seven minutes. The browned cake is spread on another oiled sheet of paper and soaked in syrup, cooked from water and a small amount of jam. From above, evenly distribute the remaining fruit jam and gently fold the base. It is important that the finished roll with apple jam lay seam down. It is served in a cooled form, cut into portions in advance.
Butter-based option
This soft and fragrant dessert retains its original freshness for a long time. The process of its preparation is relatively time-consuming, but the result is worth the effort. To bake a yeast apple roll, you will need:
- A pair of eggs.
- ¾ packs of butter.
- 16 grams of dry yeast.
- The yolk of one egg.
- 600 grams of baking flour.
- 250 milliliters of milk.
- 175 grams of sugar.
- A pinch of salt.
- Lean oil.
All the above products will be needed to knead the dough, on the basis of which apple roll will be prepared. To make a fruit filling, you will additionally have to add to this list:
- 15 grams of cinnamon.
- 800 g of sweet apples.
- 100 grams of sugar.
- 30 g of potato starch.
Sugar, dried yeast and a couple of tablespoons of flour are dissolved in warmed milk. All is well stirred and left for a while in a warm place. As soon as a froth cap appears on the surface of the dough, eggs, salt, soft butter and the rest of the flour are added to it. Still mix and clean in a secluded place where there are no drafts. After some time, the risen dough is halved and rolled into thin layers. Each of them is covered with a layer of chopped apples mixed with sugar, cinnamon and starch, and then rolled up and left to proof. After about half an hour, the products are greased with pre-whipped yolk and placed in a hot oven. Bake baking at 180 degrees for 50 minutes.
Lean Yeast Based Option
Despite the fact that this recipe completely excludes the use of eggs, butter and milk, the dessert prepared according to it turns out to be very tasty. Delicate airy dough goes well with a fragrant juicy filling, to create which it is advisable to buy sweet and sour fruits. To bake such an apple roll, you will need:
- 100 milliliters of water.
- A pair of glasses of baking flour.
- A teaspoon of high-speed yeast.
- 100 milliliters of vegetable oil.
- A pair of large spoons of sugar.
- A pinch of salt.
- A large spoon of sweet tea leaves (for lubrication).
To make a fragrant fruit filling, you will additionally have to enter in the above list:
- 3 apples.
- 3 large spoons of granulated sugar and sweet powder.
- 1/3 cup raisins.
Yeast is dissolved in warm water and left for ten minutes. Then they are combined with vegetable oil, sugar, salt and flour. All well knead and clean in the heat. Three hours later, the approached dough is rolled out in a rather thin layer and covered with a layer of filling made from cut apples, steamed raisins and sugar. Everything is carefully rolled up, greased with tea leaves and sent to a hot oven. Bake dessert at 180 degrees for 40 minutes. Ready roll sprinkled with icing sugar and cool slightly.
Biscuit variant with prunes
The technology for preparing this dessert is slightly different from those discussed above. This time, the filling will have to be immediately added to the dough and baked with it. To make an original biscuit apple roll, you will need:
- 4 large spoons of baking flour.
- 4 large eggs.
- 3 large spoons of sugar.
- A pair of ripe apples.
- 4 large spoons of vegetable oil.
- A dozen prunes.
- ¼ teaspoon of baking powder.
- Cinnamon and vanillin (to taste).
The yolks are separated from the proteins, shake them slightly and combine with vegetable oil, vanilla, baking powder and flour. The resulting mass is thoroughly mixed so that there are no lumps. Then proteins are added to it, whipped with sugar into a dense foam. Ready enough liquid dough is poured onto a baking sheet lined with parchment and covered with apple slices and prune slices. All this is sprinkled with cinnamon and sent to a hot oven. Bake the future dessert at 180 degrees until fully cooked. The browned cake is carefully rolled up, not forgetting to remove parchment paper, and cool. If desired, the product can be decorated with icing sugar or melted chocolate. Serve such a roll in a cooled form, previously cutting it into portioned pieces.
