Biography
Togno Mauri was born on July 29, 1964 in Mexico. He is not the only child in the family - Togno has a sister, Graciela, who also devoted her life to cinema.
In the early 1980s, Mauri gained his first fame, however, not as an actor, but as a musician as part of the group Fresas com crema (the name can be translated as “Strawberry and Cream”). In addition to Togno Mauri, the team consisted of 3 more members: Mariana Levy, Andres Bonfilio and Andrea Legarreta, who also became actors. The group was quite successful and released 4 albums.
In 1985, Togno Mauri got his first role in the television series. He played Mauricio in the 170-episode melodrama Juan Iris.
In 1989, Mauri left the group. In the same year, he took part in the filming of the series “My Second Mom” (the character of Frederico) and “Just Maria” (the character of Jose Ignacio Lopez), thanks to which he became known as an actor.
In the mid-1990s, Togno Mauri visited several cities in Russia.

Maria meets Juan Carlos Del Villar, an attractive young man from a wealthy family. Between them there is a romantic relationship.
The character of Togno Mauri, Jose Ignacio Lopez, is the son of Maria and Juan Carlos in adulthood. His role in childhood was played by Miguel Derbes - the son of one of the actor’s colleagues.
Together with Mauri, the former member of the Fresas com crema group, Andrea Legarreta, also took part in the filming of the series “Just Maria”.
Another serial film starring Tonyo Mauri is My Second Mom. In the story, recently parted with her husband Daniela Lorente goes on a cruise, during which she meets businessman Juan Antonio Mendes Davila. They fall in love with each other.
In this series, Mauri played the role of Federico - a friend of the son of one of the main characters.
In 2000, a remake of the old series “Deadly Sin” was released. The new version is called "Hold Me Stronger." In this novel, Mauri played Padre Moses - the priest.
