An effective tool for the prevention and treatment of acute respiratory viral infections and influenza: aflubin - instructions for use

The therapeutic effect of this drug is based primarily on the fact that it stimulates the synthesis of interferon protein , which is responsible for the protective functions of the body. Based on this, Aflubin can be recommended for acute respiratory diseases of a viral nature, when most other drugs are powerless. In addition, Aflubin, the instructions for which describe in detail the expected effect of its administration, has a powerful anti-inflammatory and detoxifying effect, as well as a mild antipyretic. Its use can reduce swelling of the mucous membranes of the nose and throat, thereby alleviating the patient's condition. Thus, it acts in a complex manner - firstly, it directly fights the causative agent of the disease, and secondly, it improves the general condition of the patient.

The drug Aflubin is available in the form of tablets or drops. It consists of extracts of medicinal plants - yellow gentian, pharmacy aconite and dioecious brionium. In addition, Aflubin, an annotation to which describes its composition in detail, contains auxiliary substances: lactic acid, iron phosphate, magnesium stearate, as well as ethyl alcohol (drops). The frequency and dose of taking the drug differ, depending on the age of the patients and the purpose of the administration (treatment or prevention). So, with influenza or SARS, they are given one drop to infants, to children under the age of 5 - 2–4 drops or a quarter of a tablet, from 5 to 12 years — 5–7 drops or a half-tablet. A single adult and teenage dose is 10 drops or 1 tablet. Take it three times a day, half an hour before meals or an hour after it. The course of treatment is from 5 to 10 days. In the first two days after the onset of the disease, the medicine should be taken more often - up to 8 times a day.

Aflubin, the instruction to which speaks of its effectiveness and harmlessness, is successfully used in a package of measures for the treatment of rheumatic and other inflammatory diseases accompanied by joint pain (arthralgia). In addition, its use is indicated for the prevention of respiratory diseases in the autumn-winter period. With a predicted or already begun epidemic of influenza or SARS, Aflubin is taken twice a day, for three consecutive weeks. For emergency prevention after contact with patients with acute respiratory viral infections or the flu, it should be drunk for two days - this is quite enough.

When taking this drug, like any other medicine, caution should be exercised: although the instruction attached to the Aflubin preparation says that it has no contraindications, it is impossible to discount individual intolerance of its individual components. Despite possible allergic reactions to its use in some cases, Aflubin is able to significantly alleviate the patient’s condition and speed up his recovery

Separately, it should be said about the Aflubin-NAZE drug, which is used to treat sinusitis, pharyngitis, inflammation of the Eustachian tube and rhinitis of various nature, including allergic ones. It is available in the form of a nasal spray and is intended for injection into the nasal cavity. The course of treatment with Aflubin-NAZE is from a week to a month, it is usually used twice a day. The drug is contraindicated in case of individual intolerance to its components and hypothyroidism. As a side effect after its use, increased salivation is sometimes noted .

None of the studies conducted revealed the harm caused by Aflubin to a pregnant woman or her fetus - information on such cases is not available. Nevertheless, the instruction attached to the Aflubin preparation recommends taking it during pregnancy with great care and only after the doctor’s recommendation - in cases where the expected benefits of its use are so weighty that possible side effects can be neglected.
