“Sinulox” (for dogs) is a preparation of a wide spectrum of bactericidal action against many strains of gram-negative and gram-positive microorganisms, including those producing beta-lactamase. The composition of the medication contains clavulanic acid and amoxicillin.
The first component inactivates beta-lactamase, thereby restoring the sensitivity of bacteria. Due to this, amoxicillin exhibits its antimicrobial effect, rapidly concentrating in the tissues of the animal's body. The drug is available in the form of a suspension having a light cream color, and in tablet form.
Appointment
The medication is recommended in the presence of bacterial infections in the respiratory, genitourinary, digestive systems, lesions of the skin and soft tissues.
Dosage regimen
The drug "Sinuloks" (for dogs) in the form of a suspension is administered subcutaneously or into the muscle. The amount of medication is calculated in accordance with the weight of the animal. The recommended dose is 8.75 mg per kilogram. Injections are carried out once a day. The duration of therapy is from 3 to 5 days. Immediately before use, the vial with the Sinulox medicine (for dogs) is thoroughly shaken. As a result of these manipulations, the solution should become homogeneous. The introduction of funds is carried out with dry needles and syringes. The place where the injection was made is recommended to massage lightly. The drug "Sinuloks-50" is laid in the animal's mouth. It is allowed to crush the medicine and add to the feed. Dosage is also calculated by weight. 12.5 mg is shown per kilogram. Frequency of use - twice a day. The course lasts up to seven days. In severe cases of pathology, the veterinarian may recommend increasing the dose. In case of a chronic disease, Sinulox (tablets) are prescribed for a long period. In this case, the dose is set for each animal personally in accordance with the clinical picture. For infections in the genitourinary system (cystitis, for example), the duration of the course is 10-28 days, for respiratory diseases - from eight to ten.
Side effects
In animals with hypersensitivity to the components of the drug, the drug "Sinuloks" (for dogs) can provoke allergic reactions. Upon termination of treatment, these negative manifestations pass quickly enough. In the event of the indicated consequences, antihistamines are prescribed.
Contraindications
The medicine "Sinulox" (for dogs) is not prescribed for hypersensitivity of the animal to the components. Suspension for injection is not administered intravenously or intratracheally. The solution should not be mixed with other medicines in the same syringe. The combined use of the drug "Sinulox" with bacteriostatic chemotherapeutic drugs is not allowed.
