Biography
Volkov Pavel was born in the Voronezh region in the village of Povorino, Novokhopersky district on June 29, 1897. The family of the future actor was very poor, therefore, from childhood, the boy was accustomed to work. His parents had nothing to do with creative professions, but were simple peasants, devoting their whole lives to working with the land.
But the education of the future actor still received. First, Volkov Pavel studied at a local parish school, and then enrolled in an agricultural secondary school in Saratov district. The future famous actor graduated from this school in the village of Nikolaevsky Town in 1919.
Career and education
Volkov Pavel, whose biography is eventful, in 1919 begins to work as an agronomist. By distribution, he falls into the first Saratov state farm of the city garden section. But the very next year leaves this job to enter the University of Saratov as an agronomist. In the same 1920, he takes exams at the Higher theatrical art workshops. Since the future actor stood the test perfectly, he was immediately credited to them.
For several years, Pavel Volkov carefully studied at once in two educational institutions, and since it was difficult and difficult, in the third year the future actor was already determined completely and remained only to study at the theater institute.
Already in 1921, Pavel Mikhailovich began to participate in the performances of the children's theater of the city of Saratov. In 1923, when training in theater workshops was over, he left his job in the theater and became a teacher of rhythm and acrobatics at the theater institute, where he himself studied.
But life and family circumstances are such that the money that he will earn as a teacher is not enough. Therefore, the young actor has to leave this job and go to Aldan, where gold mines opened at that time.
Far from his native places and far from his relatives and friends, Volkov Pavel, whose photo is presented in the article, worked as a prospector and head of a local club. But soon, in 1926, an accident occurs. Pavel Mikhailovich fell into a deep face and broke his ribs. He was immediately sent for treatment, and this was the end of the work of the prospector forever.
As soon as Pavel Volkov began to recover, he entered the capital’s mobile theater. In this theater of the International Red Stadium, he was first an actor for a long time, and then his leader. But the places where they once worked as a prospector, the actor could not forget. Therefore, in 1928 he brought his theater to Aldan on tour.
But this does not end the theatrical career of Pavel Mikhailovich. So, in 1931 for one season he got a job at the Russian theater in Ashgabat, where he was noticed and invited to Leningrad to the New Theater. In this theater, the aspiring actor worked for twelve years.
In 1940, Volkov Pavel, an actor who is known to many viewers, leaves with his theater on the Far Eastern Front with a tour, but the war begins, and the theater could return back to Leningrad only three years later. In 1949, a new relocation took place - to the capital. Until 1963, he worked in the Theater Studio of a film actor. During his work in the theater he was awarded diplomas.

Already in 1934 he was invited to star in the movie "The Secret of the Firm", where he played the chairman of the executive committee. But the directors tried to use the virtuoso ability of the actor to play the harmonica. Pavel Mikhailovich did not stop acting during the war. In 1943, by his decision of the Committee on Arts, he was sent on a business trip to the city of Alma-Ata to star in the film "Front" directed by the Vasilyev brothers. In 1944, he returned to Leningrad and was immediately enrolled in the staff of the famous film studio "Lenfilm".
Personal life
Married the famous film and theater actor Pavel Mikhailovich Volkov was twice. His first wife was pianist Mirra Abramovna. At first, everything in this alliance was good and safe. But when she finds out that her husband has got a mistress, she decided to die. In the late forties, she committed suicide.
Soon, actor Pavel Mikhailovich Volkov married a second time. This time, his chosen one was the young and talented actress Elena Ignatieva. The difference in the age of the spouses was twenty-three years, but this did not interfere with a happy family life. In this marriage in 1951, a daughter Natalia was born, whom the actor loved very much.
The actor died in Moscow on July 10, 1970. But he was remembered by all viewers as a cheerful and radiant person, who in the thirties and forties was the most popular actor, starred almost exclusively in episodic scenes.
