How to create a cartoon
According to observations, all ingenious works of art were created by chance. The same goes for the Kesha Parrot cartoon. Valentin Karavaev was at the animation studio when this idea came to him. He spotted a parrot on the street who had clearly fled the house. This bird was not taken aback and joined the flock of sparrows. Kurlandsky liked this idea, and they began to invent the story of Kesha the Parrot. No one guessed in the team, this storyline will be popular with the audience.

- Parrot Kesha. This is the main character. He has a very complex character. It contains the qualities of a selfish, hot-tempered and moody character.
- Crow. She is always in a landfill, where she is trying to get food and valuables. Admires the protagonist, repeating now and again: “It's charming!”.
- Sparrows. He appeared several times in the cartoon. This character understands the main character very well.
- Angry boy. This hero bought a parrot and put him in a cage. At home, he forced Kesha to do all the dirty and difficult work.
- Basil. A simple-minded tractor driver who treats a parrot kindly. This is a calm person who sometimes shares useful tips with Kesha.
In addition to these characters, a policeman appeared in the new version of the cartoon. He regularly follows the laws and punishes everyone who violates them. They are neutral towards him, because there is no obvious hostility at all.
Voice acting cartoon
The sound of the protagonist is one of the most important components of the work. There was a good actor in this cartoon - Gennady Khazanov. He voiced the characters in “Wait a minute” and “The Adventures of Leopold the Cat”. He got used to the role of a capricious parrot, which is what the audience liked. The team used professional equipment for voice recording. Therefore, the cartoon "Parrot Kesha" has become so loved by the audience. This is confirmed by the recognition of the character.
Interesting facts "Keshi Parrot"
Due to the onset of the economic crisis in 1990, Soyuzmultfilm delayed the release of the fourth episode of the cartoon. All the actions of the characters have already been written, all that remained was to compose all the details. The main director wanted to sign a contract with an animation studio in Germany, they were interested in filming "Keshi Parrot." However, their joint cartoon was never created.
A. Kurlandsky wrote several more storylines of the cartoon in the form of books. However, he failed to implement them in the animation plan. This was affected by the lack of finances and assistants.
By the way, psychologists use the model from this work for dialogue with adolescents. They take the behavior of Keshi as a basis and try to help children who begin to behave capriciously and selfishly. Also, all the situations in the cartoon helped families to understand their children.
The image of the famous parrot is not tied to the studio. Therefore, it is used in various pirated products. Some foreign studios create animation using the image of the parrot Keshi. Also with the participation of the character they make other goods: coloring books, notebooks, stationery and so on.
