“You will find the lost paradise!” ... For fans of rock music, this song has become a cult in its time. The song is almost fifteen years old, but it is still recognizable from the first chords. The words to the rock ballad were written by M. Pushkin, and the guitarist S. Terentyev became the author of the music. And each time you listen to the composition, you can hear new intonations and discover a new meaning.
He was dizzy Deep Purple
Like millions of Soviet boys of that time, a passion for music came to Sergei Terentyev as a teenager. Taking up the guitar for the first time, he made her his constant companion for many years. At the very beginning of his career, Sergei seriously studied and copied Western music. Later, their own songs, arrangements and musical projects saw the light of day.
Sergey Terentyev. Biography
Originally a musician from the small town of Gavrilov Posad. Terentyev Sergey Vladimirovich was born on October 12, 1964. The Terentyev family often had to change their place of residence in connection with the professional activities of Father Sergey. Connecting his future life with music was not part of Sergey’s plans at that time. In those years, Sergei Terentyev drew a lot, studied at an art school. “I imagined myself an artist and despised musicians,” he would later say about that period of his life. After graduation, Terentyev enters the Zagorsk College for the rare specialty of woodcarver. But it is here that in the atmosphere of the school, far from music, Sergei realizes that he wants to play the guitar. The instrument Sergei Terentyev begins to master at the age of fifteen, rather late as for the future musician. So far, hobby is limited to playing in amateur groups, various clubs and on dance floors. Like most guitarists of that time, he did not escape the interest in Western music, and the songs of Time Machines were the basis of the repertoire.
In 1985, Sergei Terentyev entered the conductor-choral department at the VKPU. From this moment, the creative life of the musician begins.
Life before Aria
The professional life of the musician Terentyev begins on the stage as part of the Slides group. It is with this collective that Sergey first tries his hand as a composer. The next milestone in the musician’s creative career is the Rodmir band, and then the New Testament. The latter played Christian rock, and guitarist Sergei Terentyev takes part in the recording of the group’s last album. The "New Testament" fell apart, and the musician, full of creative plans, remained unemployed.
During this period, Terentyev met S. Zador, who invited him to record a solo album. The proposal at first glance is not very real, but later implemented. So Sergey Terentyev’s solo album was released. Up to 30. During the recording of the album, the musician draws closer to the staff of the recording studio Aria Records, and later becomes a staff member of the studio.
As part of the cult "Aria"
There would be no happiness, but misfortune helped. So it can be said about how Sergei Terentyev got into the most famous at that time rock band "Aria". After S. Mavrin left, Sergey’s candidacy was considered as the most promising, and the musician did not disappoint either the “Aryans” or the fans of the group. The eight years that Terentyev collaborated with Aria became productive for both the band and the musician. Three albums were recorded during this period, six songs were released, the author of the music for which was Sergey Terentyev.
"Artery"
The year 2002 has come. Sergei, together with Alexander Manyakin and Valery Kipelov, leave Aria and create a new Kipelov group, but a year later Terentyev leaves this group. In collaboration with A. Bulgakov, he creates a new project "Artery". This period of creative life cannot be called cloudless. The composition of the group often changes, the turnover is not the best way affects the productivity of the team. For the whole period, 7 vocalists and 11 musicians left the group for various reasons.
In 1994, Sergei Terentyev reissued his solo album in a new edition called "30 + 3 + Infinity." Along with the old instrumental compositions, it also includes hits, the author of the music for which was the guitarist: “Lost Paradise”, “Who are you?”, “Stars went to the bottom”.

During the trial, S. Terentyev sincerely apologized to the parents who lost their daughter and repeatedly repeated that at the time of the accident they did not violate traffic rules. The musician was arrested right in the courtroom. Later, the decision of the Moscow City Court reduced the sentence to four years. While serving his sentence in a penal colony, the musician took part in the studio recordings of the Arteria group and acted as its producer.
