The drug "Pentovit" (tablets) is a multivitamin complex. The composition of the product includes active substances: thiamine hydrochloride (B1), pyridoxine hydrochloride (B6), nicotinamide, folic acid, cyancobalamin (B12). All these components are classified as water soluble vitamins.

B1 has an active effect on the nervous and muscle regulation, the conduct of a nerve impulse. This component is a necessary element in the synthesis of the neurotransmitter acetylcholine.

B6 is involved in the normalization of the nervous system (peripheral and central). The component also stabilizes protein, lipid, carbohydrate metabolism. B6 is a participant in the synthesis of neurotransmitters (histamine, adrenaline, norepinephrine, dopamine).

Cyanocobalamin has a beneficial effect on the activity of the nervous system and the functioning of the liver. This component acts as a stimulant and growth factor for hematopoiesis, and triggers coagulation processes. Cyanocabalamin is involved in carbohydrate and lipid metabolism, as well as in the synthesis of various amino acids.

Folic acid is indispensable in the synthesis of amino acids and nucleic acids. This component has a stimulating effect on erythropoiesis.

Nicotinamide takes part in carbohydrate and fat metabolism, tissue nutrition processes.

The tool "Pentovit" instruction recommends for the prevention of vitamin B deficiency . The drug is also prescribed in the complex treatment of asthenic conditions of different origin.

The Pentovit multivitamin complex does not allow for prescribing with increased sensitivity to the components. Contraindications is the period of lactation and pregnancy. Pentovit is not prescribed for children.

The drug is taken orally after a meal. The recommended dosage per day is two or four tablets. Duration of admission is three or four weeks. Repeated courses of taking Pentovit, the instruction recommends coordinating with the doctor.

The use of a multivitamin complex can provoke some undesirable reactions. The drug may cause allergic skin manifestations (hives, irritation, or itching). Tachycardia or nausea is extremely rare.

Drug interaction

It should be borne in mind that B6 is able to lower the antiparkinsonian effect of the drug "Levodopa".

Alcohol significantly reduces the absorption of B1.

During the therapeutic course, other complexes containing B-group vitamins should not be taken. Otherwise, an excess of elements is likely.

Due to the fact that there is no data on the use of the drug "Pentovit" during lactation and pregnancy, the advisability of taking during these periods is determined by the doctor.

In the course of the studies, there was no negative effect of the multivitamin complex on the ability to concentrate attention, as well as drive complex equipment, mechanisms or a car. In this regard, the instruction does not establish restrictions on the use of the drug "Pentovit".

The product should be stored away from children. Storage temperature - no more than 25 degrees. The shelf life of the Pentovit multivitamin complex is three years. Do not take the drug after this period.
