Drinking 1-2 bottles of beer with friends while watching a match or organizing a noisy beer buffet has little in common, except for one thing - the mandatory presence on the table, in addition to a pickled drink, several types of suitable snacks. And if chips and crackers that have been whipped up are quite suitable for friendly gatherings, an organized holiday will require a more complex and picky approach, because people should stay not only cheerful, but also full. Below are the most interesting and simple recipes for beer snacks with photos and suitable comments.
Shrimp Hot Appetizers
A shrimp dish can be complicated by rolling each crustacean into a slice of bacon or serving them, as they are, fried, in all its beauty. In any case, it is better to stop the choice on individuals of the royal look - they are both larger and tastier, and are sold in a delicate whole, and not in a common frozen lump, as usual.
The easiest and quickest recipe for beer snacks (see photo below):
- thawed crustaceans are spread on a hot frying pan with vegetable oil and fry for a minute, stirring;
- already browned seafood is salted, pepper, spread garlic squeezed through a press in a pan and squeezed juice from half a lemon on top of the shrimp;
- when the shell is already well browned, chopped greens are poured into the pan, mix everything and serve immediately.
For the second recipe, you will need bacon:
- chop as many bacon plates as prepared chilled shrimp;
- each plate needs to be wrapped with pre-pepper and salted shrimp;
- fry all the “rolls” until cooked.
True gourmets suggest replacing vegetable oil with butter when frying crustaceans.
Bavarian style sausages and sausages
Real Bavarian sausages are prepared at least 60% from meat, therefore, in order to adequately replace them in Russian cuisine, you will have to find the best home-made sausage for frying or cook it yourself. For the classic execution of a meat dish, it is enough to fry the whole sausages on the grill or cut them with thick washers and hold in a hot frying pan with vegetable oil.
Somewhat different experienced beer lovers are advised to do with sausages:
- raw sausages are cut across to half in 3-4 places;
- invested in each section: a plate of pickled cucumber, garlic sticks, onion ring;
- then each stuffed sausage is generously greased with mustard;
- the bottom of a flat enameled pan is lined with onion rings, on top, sausages are laid out in one row;
- stuffed sausages are poured with boiling marinade from a liter of water with the following added: a glass of 9% vinegar, 1 teaspoon of coriander, 1 teaspoon of salt, 1 teaspoon of sugar, 1 pod of hot pepper.
The next day, after 24 hours of insisting at 18-23 degrees, the sausages can be fried and served.
Sharp wings
Typically, at beer parties, chicken wings are preferred to be grilled, outdoors, but assuming that friends can meet deviations from Oktoberfest rules, we offer a beer snack recipe adapted to the conditions of a city apartment:
- the wings washed and dried with a napkin are placed in a regular bag;
- in a separate bowl mix: 3 tbsp. tablespoons of flour, a pinch of dry granulated garlic and the same amount of paprika and chili;
- fill the wings with a spicy bulk mixture, mix everything well;
- pour wings with seasonings on a baking sheet lined with foil and put the frying sheet in preheated to 200 gr. oven for 15-17 minutes;
- while the wings are dried, the ingredients for pouring are mixed: 3 tbsp. tablespoons of Tabasco sauce, the same amount of soy sauce and a little olive oil;
- with a silicone brush you need to generously and quickly grease all the wings and bake them again, within 3 minutes;
- after three minutes, the baking sheet is again taken out, the meat is turned over and coated on the other side.
Now it remains only to wait until the wings are well browned and they can be served.
Spicy pork ribs
Among all home-made snacks for beer, the recipe for sharp ribs is invariably in the top five "on hot". In addition, they are prepared incredibly fast (if you subtract the few hours that went into pickling).
Pork ribs - a wonderful recipe for a beer snack (see photo below):
- in a small enameled pan mixed: 5 tbsp. tablespoons of Tabasco, salt and a pinch of paprika and chili;
- sliced in portions of the ribs spread in marinade, mix them well in the mixture and leave for 3-5 hours;
- the meat that has gathered on the bones is laid out on a baking sheet and baked for 40-45 minutes at 210 degrees.
Pork fried ribs look spectacularly sprinkled with green peas.
Hot Meat Sauces
Not all foam lovers are equally fond of the sharpness of beer snacks prepared according to traditional recipes. Therefore, it is better not to overdo it with seasonings, and for those who prefer sharper, submit special sauces separately that enhance the taste of meat products.
Hot Sauce Recipes:
- take the ready-made chili sauce “To Meat”, put the contents of the bottle in a bowl and add it, in turn: omelet of finely chopped parsley, a pinch of salt and sugar, chopped medium onion and red pepper into thin slices to taste;
- prepare a mixture of two raw yolks, 200 mg of thick mayonnaise, 7 cloves of chopped garlic and a large bunch of chopped dill;
- in 100 g of ready-made mustard, mix in a small coffee spoon of honey and mayonnaise and lightly beat with a blender.
For originality, thick sauces are served to the table not in dishes, but in lettuce leaves folded in the form of bowls.
Beer crackers
Crackers are the most elementary and common beer snack. There are many recipes for the Kirieszek people, but dark rye cubes, which have a more pronounced taste than dried baguette slices, are still preferable for a foamy drink.
The most “tasty” (but not the most useful) quick recipe for beer beer snacks:
- bread (half a loaf) is cut into 1 × 1 cm cubes, spread on a dry baking sheet and put in an oven preheated to 180 degrees;
- separately, 150 ml of odorless vegetable oil is heated in a water bath and, when it warms up to 80 degrees, they pour a full teaspoon of a mixture of dry seasonings with glutamate there or crumble one bouillon cube;
- dried and slightly browned crackers are taken out of the oven and directly from above watered with an oil mixture with completely dissolved crystals of the flavor enhancer;
- the bread cubes are mixed well with a wooden spatula so that they are all soaked evenly, and again set in the oven, already until fully cooked.
Beer snack prepared according to this recipe is much tastier and richer than a store snack.
Home chips
Home-made chips are another alternative to a spicy purchased treat. Beer snack prepared according to the recipe below will not be more satisfying than the industrial analogue. And certainly less harmful.
Beer snack recipe at home:
- a pound of peeled potatoes is cut into thin slices;
- a saline solution is prepared separately - a third of a glass of salt is dissolved in 1 liter of water;
- potato chips for chips are dipped in brine, aged there for half an hour, and then dried on a napkin;
- a deep frying pan is filled with odorless oil to half and put on a strong fire;
- when the oil is hot, potatoes are spread in small portions for 7-10 seconds.
Ready-made chips are poured onto spread out paper towels and immediately sprinkled with hot spices.
Squid rings
To speed up the process of squid preparation, you should buy chilled and already peeled carcasses of about the same size. Further, according to the recipe for this beer appetizer (the photo below demonstrates the beauty of this dish), you need to mix 1: 1 two types of flour - rice and wheat, but this is not necessary and you can get by with a regular bakery. The flour is diluted with water to a semi-liquid state, and squid rings, cut into the same thickness, about 8 mm, are dipped into this mixture.
Squids are prepared in the same way as the chips from the previous recipe - a simple beer snack is considered ready when the batter becomes golden. Rings are usually served with a spicy version of cheese sauce.
Onion rings
3 large onion heads are cut into circles of 7–9 mm thick, which are then manually divided into rings. Onions generously stick and put away to the side for 20-30 minutes, until the juice is empty.
Separately batter is prepared - 4 tbsp. tablespoons of flour are mixed with 1 teaspoon of potato starch and a large pinch of hot pepper. The dry mixture is poured with water and stirred until a homogeneous creamy state. Pour the breading mixture into another bowl.
Each ring is poked with a fork, first dipped in batter, then in breadcrumbs and only then it enters a hot fryer. Onion rings, in finished form, should crunch on the teeth, so you need to fry them to a light brown color.
Home-made beer cold sauces
The following three sauces are perfect for onion rings, squid and even home-made chips. They are quite budget, so they can be submitted in all three options:
- In 150 g of thick mayonnaise add 1 tbsp. a spoonful of hot chili sauce and finely chopped pulp 2-3 slices of lemon. Mix everything well, and before serving directly into the gravy boat add a couple of basil leaves.
- Pour ¾ cup unsweetened 33% cream into a bowl, whisk them lightly with a mixer (30 seconds, no more) and add 2 tbsp to the mass. tablespoons of apple cider vinegar and lemon juice. Then, there you need to grate the processed cheese, add spices to taste and pour 0.5 teaspoons of granulated sugar. Now the mixture needs to be heated over low heat and with constant stirring for 3-4 minutes, and put in a glass bowl for a beautiful serving.
- In a container with 4 tbsp. tablespoons of thick mayonnaise, you need to squeeze through a press 2 large cloves of garlic and pour 1 tbsp. a spoonful of soy sauce. A well-mixed mass is laid out in a gravy boat, and finely chopped basil greens are poured there, on top.
When serving, the gravy boat is set in the middle of a large flat dish, and the beer snack itself is laid out in picturesque chaos. Sauce recipes can be supplemented with other ingredients, experiment with spiciness. And each time they will bring new taste sensations.
