Before using the drug, it is recommended to thoroughly familiarize yourself with the instructions for use with the Sinaflan Akrikhin ointment, since the drug has a number of prohibitions on the use of:
- age up to two years;
- individual intolerance to the drug;
- malignant skin formation;
- damage to the skin by overgrowth at the site of application;

With extreme caution, the drug is used to eliminate skin problems in adolescents during puberty.
Instructions for use
"Sinaflan Akrikhin" is suitable only for external use, the medication is prescribed for adult patients and children over two years of age.
The duration of therapy and the frequency of use is determined by the medical specialist purely individually for each patient, depending on the age and severity of the disease.
According to the instructions for use, Sinaflan ointment for children and adults should be applied with a thin layer on dry skin from two to four times a day. The duration of therapy, as a rule, is from five to seven days, if during this period a person does not have an improvement, then you should contact a medical specialist to adjust the treatment and clarify the diagnosis.
With severe damage to the surface of the skin in certain places, you can apply a gauze bandage, which must be changed twice a day. This dressing is allowed only to adult patients, since long contact of the ointment with the skin of the child in most cases leads to systemic adverse reactions.
Can I apply ointment during pregnancy?
"Sinaflan" is not recommended for use by women in an "interesting position", since the active trace elements enter the bloodstream and cross the placenta into the fetus. Information regarding the safety of the effects of the drug on the body of the future mother and fetus is not presented, therefore, in order to avoid complications, the drug should not be used.
During lactation, women should not use Sinaflan, since the active substances are absorbed into the bloodstream and can be excreted in milk in small amounts. If you need to take the medicine, breastfeeding should be stopped.
Adverse reactions
With proper adherence to the prescribed dosages and instructions, negative effects usually do not occur. In people with increased sensitivity, the following side effects may occur:
- Irritation at the site of application.
- The appearance of acne and pustules in the area of application of the ointment.
- Alopecia (a disease characterized by loss of hair on the head and a violation of the process of new hair growth).
- Increased hair growth at the place of application of the drug.
- Violation of pigmentation of the skin.
- Hypertrichosis (a disease that manifests itself in excessive hair growth at certain places that are not characteristic of such an area of the skin: above the lips, on the stomach, chest, arms, back and chin).
With prolonged application of the ointment on large surfaces, the patient has general clinical signs that are associated with the action of glucocorticoids on the body, for example:
- Gastritis (a long-running disease, characterized by dystrophic and inflammatory changes in the gastric mucosa).
- The formation of ulcers on the mucous membranes of the digestive tract.
- Itsenko-Cushing's syndrome (a neuroendocrine disease characterized by increased production of hormones of the adrenal cortex).
- Adrenal insufficiency.
- Steroid diabetes mellitus (is a severe insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus).
Overdose
According to the instructions for use with Sinaflan, it is known that with prolonged use of the ointment over vast areas of the body, general clinical symptoms of poisoning occur:
- lesions in the functioning of the thyroid gland;
- the appearance of excess hair on the body;
- adrenal insufficiency.
With the development of such signs, it is necessary to cancel the therapy and consult a medical specialist. Usually no specialized treatment is required, all negative symptoms go away on their own.
Interaction with other medicines
The drug is not recommended for people with glucocorticosteroids, since such an interaction increases the likelihood of side effects and signs of poisoning.
In severe skin diseases, the drug must be combined with the use of antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory drugs.
Features
When applying the ointment, avoid applying the medication to the face. After using the medicine, it is necessary to wash your hands well with soap to avoid getting the cream on the mucous membranes of the eye. If this happens, then the organs of vision should be rinsed with plenty of water and consult an ophthalmologist.
Sinaflan is not recommended to be distributed in a thick layer over large areas of the skin surface. If, against the background of the use of the drug, the patient has no positive dynamics, then you should contact a medical specialist.
For children up to two years of age, ointment is not recommended, because there is no information regarding the safety of the medication (this is confirmed by the instructions for use). According to reviews, Sinaflan ointment is recommended to be mixed with a baby cream, thereby reducing the likelihood of a negative reaction and poisoning.
If the patient has atrophic changes on the surface of the skin, then the drug can be used only after the approval of the doctor and under his supervision.
Therapy can not be canceled suddenly, as this can lead to exacerbation of the clinical signs of the disease. The concentration of the drug decreases gradually, this is confirmed by reviews and instructions for use.
Sinaflan: analogues
Ointment has a number of substitute drugs, for example:
- "Flucinar."
- Beloderm.
- "Flunolon".
- Akriderm.
- "Elokom".
All these medicines have certain side effects and limitations, so before changing the ointment, one of the generics should consult a doctor.
"Flucinar"
The drug is available in the form of ointment and gel. "Flucinar" is part of the therapeutic group of glucocorticosteroids for local topical use. They are used to treat inflammation of the surface of the skin of a non-infectious etiology.
The main substance acts on the immune system. It eliminates the migration of neutrophils to the source of the inflammatory process, adversely affects a number of strains, inhibiting their activity by reducing the content of biological compounds of the neurotransmitters.
Also, such a compound normalizes mast cell membranes, due to which the release of histamine, which is responsible for the appearance of allergies, is greatly reduced. Active trace element is considered a derivative of glucocorticosteroids. Due to these positive effects, Flucinar has a strong anti-inflammatory and anti-allergic effect. The cost of the drug varies from 200 to 300 rubles.
Beloderm
The drug refers to glucocorticosteroids, which are designed to eliminate various inflammation of the skin.
The drug is made in the form of ointment and cream, dispensed in aluminum tubes of fifteen and thirty grams. The active ingredient is betamethasone.
The drug has anti-inflammatory and anti-allergic, antipruritic effect. In addition, it has vasoconstrictive, antiexudative properties.
When applying ointments on the surface of the skin, the active component inhibits the formation and excretion of histamine and lysosomal substances, which are involved in the onset of inflammation and allergies.
When applied to the skin, Beloderm has an instant pronounced effect in the focus of the inflammatory process. The cost of the drug is 150 rubles.
Akriderm
Combined product for external use, which has an anti-allergic, anti-inflammatory and antibacterial effect. "Akriderm" is produced in the form of a cream and ointment for external application, the drug is released in aluminum tubes of fifteen and thirty grams. One gram of medication contains 645 mcg of betamethasone dipropionate.
"Akriderm" has anti-inflammatory, antipruritic, anti-allergenic, vasoconstrictive and antiexudative effects. The medication reduces the speed of leukocytes in the body, and also inhibits the release of pro-inflammatory and lysosomal strains in the source of inflammation, inhibits phagocytosis, reduces vascular tissue permeability, and eliminates the formation of edema.
When applied to the skin, the medicine instantly and intensively affects the source of inflammation, reducing the severity of subjective and objective signs.
When applying the active substance in recommended dosages, its transdermal absorption in plasma is very small. The use of gauze dressings for diseases of the skin helps to increase the intensity of absorption of the main trace element, which can cause the appearance of systemic negative effects. The cost of the drug varies from 90 to 700 rubles.
Storage conditions
Ointment can be bought at a pharmacy without a prescription. "Sinaflan" must be kept in the refrigerator or a cool place, each time carefully closing the cap after use.
Shelf life is five years. After this time, the drug is not recommended. In drugstores, the price of Sinaflan is sixty rubles.
