The drug "Diazolin", the composition of which is quite simple, is a crystalline white or cream powder (mebhydrolin). This substance is practically insoluble in water and organic solvents. The tool "Diazolin", the use of which is not allowed for ulcers of the duodenum, stomach and inflammation in the digestive tract, unlike suprastin, diprazine and diphenhydramine, does not give a sedative and hypnotic effect. This property allows the use of this drug in cases where the inhibitory effect of antihistamines on the central nervous system is not desirable. The drug is released in powder or dragee (0.05 g) in packs of 20 pcs.
The drug "Diazolin", the use of which is recommended only after meals, when taken on an empty stomach, can greatly irritate the gastrointestinal mucosa.
There are such regimens for taking the drug "Diazolin" (per day):
- adults: 1-2 p. 0.05-0.2 g;
- children: 1-3 p. 0.02-0.05g each. (up to 2 years - 0.02 g; from 2 years - 0.05 g).
The highest doses for adults are: single - 0.3 g; daily - 0.6g.

Its use is possible with allergic rhinitis (chronic and seasonal); hay fever; urticaria; allergic conjunctivitis; eczema a skin reaction that occurs on an insect bite. With irritation of the gastrointestinal mucosa, nausea, dry mouth, heartburn, vomiting, dyspeptic symptoms, constipation are often noted. In the urinary system, urination disorders can be observed. Hematopoiesis disorders such as agranulocytosis and granulocytopenia are very rarely observed.
The drug "Diazolin" for lactation and pregnancy is prescribed with great care. In this case, it is possible to reduce the dose and increase the intervals between doses. The safest time for taking the drug is the end of the second trimester. At this time, the possible effect on the unborn child is minimized. During pregnancy and lactation , the Diazolin medication is taken once a day for 1 tab. You should also exclude from the diet foods that can cause an allergic reaction. You should also carefully use the drug against a background of kidney and liver diseases. This medicine should be stored in a dark and dry place at ordinary temperature.
