In 2005, Warner Brothers decided to reanimate the failure of the past millennium and to tell a new story to the millionaire Bruce Wayne, better known to the general public as Batman, the human-bat.

Christopher Nolan is one of the outstanding filmmakers of our time, and all thanks to his non-trivial approach to filming. Today on his account such megaprojects as Interstellar, Beginning, The Dark Knight. In the 1990s, it was a little-known, but promising director from England, who could become a legend, or could go to his native Britain and "hang" over the shooting of advertisements and TV shows.
After the thriller Remember, the whole world learned about Nolan, but his next projects were unsuccessful. Yet in 2003, Warner already hired Chris Nolan to shoot Batman. The dark knight (the actors for the film were selected only with the light hand of the director) was to become not the embodiment of a comic book hero, but a real person. Nolan wanted to create a believable story so that the viewer was not left feeling that this hero really lives in Chicago. Having talked with the producers and not even having a finished script, the English director convinced his colleagues to invest good amounts in the promotion and shooting of the film. The catch was that Nolan was poorly versed in the comic book world, he needed a screenwriter to become his guide in the world of Bruce Wayne. Then Christopher called David Goeyre and suggested writing a screenplay for the new Batman together. The negotiation stage was lengthy, and yet the persistent British managed to convince Goyer to take up this scenario. As time has shown, the result was worth it.
Batman: The Beginning of the Story
The first film was Batman. "The Dark Knight", the actors and roles of which were approved at the initial stage of writing the script of the picture, - the second, and the third part was called "The Dark Knight: Revival of the Legend."
The first part tells about the childhood and formation of Bruce Wayne, about his phobias and secret desires. Eight-year-old Bruce, in the eyes of which his parents were killed, grows up as a reserved child and wants to take revenge on the killer of his loved ones. When he becomes a youth, he realizes that his native Gotham is mired in banditry, and there is no force that can stop gangsters. Bruce leaves his native land and goes on a journey around the world, where he acquires the necessary martial arts skills. Upon returning to his hometown, he decides to become that counterbalance to criminals, which his native Gotham is so lacking.
Neither the screenwriter, nor even the director himself suspected that the film would become a franchise. So the first part started, it was successful, collected good box office. When the second part appeared, fans and critics unanimously said: "Welcome back, Batman." "The Dark Knight", whose actors are completely dissolved in their roles, became a worthy continuation of the first part.
As such, casting for the main role of the human bat was not. A friend of the director - Christian Bale - has long expressed a desire to participate in a realistic version of "Batman". He sent his samples to Chris and, despite the fact that the actor was not in the best physical shape, he was received thanks to his charisma and talent.
In the summer of 2005, Batman fans plunged into the realistic beginning of his story. The box office surpassed all the creators' expectations. After several weeks of rental, it became clear that the continuation of the story will be released.
The Dark Knight: Story
Christopher Nolan never signs up for lengthy projects. In the situation with Batman, he did the same. Exactly one year there were negotiations about his participation in the sequel to the picture. Exactly one year later, the director returned to the picture and brought into the story not only the original vision, but also a new name - The Dark Knight. The actors in the continuation of the story remained the same, but Mr. Nolan brought the main highlight with him. He chose Heath Ledger to play the role of the Joker, the main antagonist of the picture, motivating his decision with the actor's absolute fearlessness.
In the second part, the plot was no less convoluted and realistic. Batman continues to eradicate crime in his hometown, but instead of the long-awaited vacation, he gets the absolute chaos that the asocial psychopath Joker provides.
The Dark Knight: actors and roles
In the sequel to the picture of Batman, a good cast was selected. In the role of the main superhero, the fearless Christian Bale remained, but the “highlight of the program” was Heath Lager. The actor who played the Joker in The Dark Knight, thanks to his charisma, captured the audience’s attention from the very first frames of the film.
In the second part of the picture, the role of Rachel was played by Maggie Gyllenhaal. Harry Oldman, Michael Kane, Morgan Freeman and Killian Murphy returned to their previous heroes . In the role of Harvey Dent appeared Aaron Eckhart.
Gorgeous joker
In 1989, in one of the film adaptations of “Batman,” the role of the Joker was played by Jack Nicholson, but although his hero was a villain, the audience ultimately seemed like a crazy good man. No one could say such a thing about the Joker Heath Ledger. After the first takes, some actors from the make-up and the sense of madness that came from this character completely forgot the text. This happened on the first day of the movie "The Dark Knight". The Joker (actor Heath Lager) was made up so much that he was completely unrecognizable. He prepared for his role more than carefully. To feel the inner essence of Batman’s main enemy, Mr. Ledger stayed at the hotel for a month and practically did not communicate with people.
In the movie "The Dark Knight", the actors got used to their roles to the maximum and splashed out the whole spectrum of emotions on the screens, but the Joker character became the key in this picture. Unfortunately, Heath Ledger was found dead in his room on January 22, 2008 and was unable to enjoy the end result of his work. The audience will be remembered as an outstanding young actor.
"The Dark Knight: Revival of the Legend"
Immediately after the release of the second part and the first box office success to the producers and fans of the film, it became clear that the third part was just around the corner. In 2011, the shooting of the final film about the adventures of Bruce Wayne began. Rumors of a storyline and new characters in The Dark Knight: The Renaissance of a Legend have filled the Internet. Actors and roles worried franchise fans the most. After all, it was not known who would be the main antagonist of the picture. Anne Hathaway, Marion Cotillard, Tom Hardy and Joseph Gordon-Levitt joined the already familiar cast.
The plot was kept in the strictest confidence, and the director orally outlined the concept of the end of the triquel to the characters.
After eight years of solitude and disappearance from Gotem, Batman returns to fight the new villain - Mr. Bane. Bane is bloodthirsty, merciless and powerful. Mr. Wayne did not have such an opponent. Not only will he have to fight the hero, but also overcome his inner fears.
The picture was released on large screens on July 16, 2012.

The franchise for the most part received positive reviews from film critics. The directorial work of Christopher Nolan brought him to the level with the best filmmakers of the planet. It is surprising that, despite the favor of film experts, Nolan did not receive an Oscar for this franchise.
The audience greeted the Batman trilogy so eagerly that the film at the box office raised more than $ 2.5 billion. The second and third parts of the film were recognized as one of the most anticipated and grossing films in the entire history of cinema.
Of particular popularity from all three parts of the picture the second was distinguished - "The Dark Knight". The actors of the epic are so dissolved in their characters that the public today calls this part the most successful of the stories about Batman.
Awards, nominations, prizes
All three paintings have collected a huge number of awards and prizes. The first film was nominated for an Oscar in only one nomination - for the best work of the operator. But the second part became the owner of many gold figurines. The film "The Dark Knight", whose actors are distinguished by absolute dedication, was recognized by critics of the Academy in two categories: "For Best Editing" and Heath Ledger received a posthumous figurine for "Best Supporting Actor". All three films were nominees and winners of almost all British and American film ratings.
