About the winery
The world-famous Massandra winery (Crimea) was founded by Prince L. Golitsyn in 1894. He chose the ideal place with an excellent microclimate for creating wine cellars - this is the mountainside near the city of Yalta. The plant was built very high quality. Its walls did not give a single crack during the earthquake in 1927.
The main basement vault was hollowed out in the rocks in 1898 and has seven tunnels fanning out from the central gallery. Each of them has a length of 150 meters and a width of about 5 meters. In the basement, the optimum temperature is maintained for the maturation and aging of wines - this is about 10-12 ° C. To wash the filling containers, spring water from the Massandra spring is used.
The benefits of Crimean wine
A distinctive feature of the company - all wine brands are made only from their own grapes. Plantations of the Massandra association (Crimea) stretch along the southern coast from Foros to Sudak, where there is a unique subtropical microclimate combined with crushed clay clay soils and mountainous terrain. These conditions favor the cultivation of grapes with unique taste properties.
The best varieties of Greek, French, Spanish and Rhine grapes grow on plantations. From it create dessert and strong wines, which are characterized by anti-aging and healing qualities. Using old and proven traditions of winemaking, experts do not add sugar and chemical additives to the wine material from which fortified, table or collection wine brands are made. Thanks to this,
Massandra wines are good for health. But you need to know that they bring benefits only at moderate doses: a man can consume 200 ml without harm to his health, and a woman - 150 ml of wine per day. Scientists have proved that in
red wine there are many elements important for human life.
