Cooking dumplings with cabbage for dinner for the whole family

Dumplings - a universal dish, which is prepared from unleavened dough. This amazing way to prepare flour products involves the use of a wide variety of fillers. But in any case, this is a very tasty dish that can be offered for dinner to the whole family or to treat guests at a dinner party.

Dumplings with cabbage are perfect for a quick dinner. It is enough to boil pre-cooked and frozen workpieces, and a tasty, satisfying dish is ready. But to prepare the semi-finished product, you should work hard. This is a rather time-consuming process that requires patience.

Dumplings with fresh cabbage have a unique taste. First of all, let's take a test. Usually use unleavened dough. It is prepared in many ways.

For this method, you will need:

  • 700 grams of flour;
  • 1 egg
  • 100 grams of sunflower oil;
  • a glass of warm water;
  • salt.

Mix oil and egg. If you have household appliances, this mixture can be beaten with a blender or mixer. Add water and salt, mix well. Flour is gradually poured into the resulting mixture and a cool dough is kneaded. They cover it with a napkin and start cooking vegetables to stuff dumplings with cabbage. This will require:

  • 500 grams of fresh cabbage;
  • 1 large onion;
  • 1 carrot;
  • vegetable oil;
  • spice;
  • salt.

Chop the cabbage, finely chop the onion and rub the carrots on a coarse grater. The cabbage is fried in vegetable oil. Separately cook passer, which is added to the cabbage. The vegetable mixture is mixed and stewed by adding salt and ground pepper. If desired, you can add a little tomato juice or tomato paste. Ready stuffing is put in dumplings with cabbage in a cold form. Fresh cabbage can be replaced with sauerkraut. In this case, the filling is prepared without adding tomato.

Everything is ready to sculpt dumplings. The dough is divided into 4 parts. One of them is rolled out with a millimeter layer on a table sprinkled with flour. Next, cut out circles of dough with a glass. On each stack a vegetable filling. Having folded it in half, the opposite edges are pressed tightly. Cabbage dumplings are in the shape of small triangles. They are formed, gradually rolling out the remaining dough. When it is completely used up, salted water is boiled in a pan.

In it, formed dumplings with cabbage are boiled for 7 minutes. Then they are transferred with a slotted spoon to a bowl and seasoned with butter or specially prepared with onions and bacon greaves. As can be seen in the photo, dumplings with cabbage have a rather mouth-watering appearance.

This dish can be steamed. To do this, use a double boiler or just a pot of boiling water. A colander is placed in it. On it, as on a stand, dumplings with cabbage will soar. Steaming time is 10 minutes. With this method, dumplings with cabbage are soft and airy. They are served with butter or sour cream. The cooled dish can be easily warmed up. To do this, spread the finished dish, seasoned with oil or greaves, in clay pots, which are placed in a preheated oven. After a few minutes, the preheated dish can be served. If desired, part of the formed dumplings can be frozen.
