Although the character does not have a high level of physical abilities, they are more than covered with ambitions and dreams. Buggy doesn't care that many pirates consider the Goal D. Roger era to be over. Like many dreamers, a clown lives in order to become the Pirate King and become the richest man in the world. This once again demonstrates his greed and difference from the main character, whose goal is to become the most free. It is this discrepancy that is key. Due to a clash of interests in connection with the difference in life positions and defeat from Luffy, the hero is trying with all his might to avenge the protagonist.
Buggy’s self-confidence and determination at Van Pease knows no bounds. After escaping from prison, he decided to become the one who will kill the strongest man on Earth - Whitebeard. It was this old man that Buggy considered his main adversary on his way to the rank of Pirate King. However, at the Battle of Marineford, the clown could not even get close to him.
