Some lead their own shows, others tour with copyright programs around the country, while others act in films. Moreover, there are more and more young comedians who have stepped overseas for episodic roles and have proven themselves to be performers worthy of the main roles. One of these is Ararat Keshchyan. Films with his participation are known and loved by compatriots. A former KVN participant was born in the third decade of October 1978 with an Armenian couple living in Gagra. Later, he moved to Adler with his family.
Inspired by KVN
Addicted to KVN Ararat helped his elder brother Ashot, who practiced writing jokes for the team of RUDN University. A charismatic young man almost immediately gained weight in the team, gaining popularity among the audience. His every appearance on stage was accompanied by a storm of applause. As part of the team, the promising guy won almost all the club's awards and decided to conquer television. Many films with Ararat Keshchyan belong to the genre of comedies, so initially the actor positioned himself as a comedian. This artist is primarily familiar to the domestic audience in the image of Michael from Univer, but in the film industry, despite his busyness, the ex-KVN worker is quite in demand. Currently, the largest roles of the performer in the big cinema are considered to be the heroes from Nannies and from the sequel Odnoklassnitsa: A New Turn.
Career after KVN
But the country did not immediately see films with Ararat Keshchyan. Before finally changing his professional career, in creative tandem with his brother Ashot, he worked on the creation of many issues of the entertaining television show Blah Blah Shaw. He was the host of the program “Out of Game”. Both brothers took part in the filming of the 3rd season of the comedy project "Fight Club", which was supervised by the studio "Quarter-95". As a guest actor, he often appeared on the set of Comedy Woman.

The hero of Ararat studies at the Faculty of History and shares the hostel block with other protagonists, which differs from them in a harmonious combination of common sense and an excellent sense of humor. Periodically, his brother appears in the series, but he plays only a secondary role. In 2011, he took part in the continuation of the project called “Univer: The New Dormitory”, where he appeared before the viewer as Arthur Tigranovich Mikaelian, a graduate student, and then an assistant professor.
Despite the busy shooting schedule, he was simultaneously filmed in a cameo role in the project “Happy Together”.
Since 2014, he has been collaborating with the Zvezda channel, with his participation the programs “Brutal Work” and “Not FACT!” Are broadcast. Active creative activity on television did not prevent his film career from developing, films with Ararat Keshchyan have been regularly released since 2011.
Filmography
At the beginning of 2018, the list of films with Ararat Keshchyan consists of 11 films. The debut in the artist’s big cinema is considered to be the second full-length art comedy film project of the visionary Dmitry Grachev called "Exchange Wedding." In addition to Ararat, Maria Kozhevnikova (the same Allochka from Univer) starred in the movie. It was their characters that were noted by critics in a positive way, which cannot be said about the main actors and their characters. The actors had an excellent opportunity to stretch themselves in the sitcom about students. In the work, Grachev is standardly grimacing at his familiar role as the near-blonde Blond Kozhevnikov and desperately humor Ararat Keshchyan. The films "Wedding", "Univer", "SashaTanya", "Happy Together" have become a good school for becoming an artist.
Film career development
In 2012, the actor receives an offer from Sarik Andreasyan to participate in the production of the Russian fairy-tale comedy, which has a distant connection with the immortal books of Astrid Lindgren. In the casting of the movie "That Still Carloson!" Keschan is not the only native of KVN, the main role was played by the brilliant comedian Mikhail Galustyan, Ararat worthily embodied on the screen the image of police major Artem Oganesov.
In the same year, films with Ararat Keshchyan were replenished with another example. In the comedy directed by Ashot, the actor played a major role. His character was Misha, who, together with his colleague Dima (Nikolai Naumov), was forced to go to Turkey to sign a contract instead of the owner of the agency (Olesya Zheleznyak). The participation in the project of the stars of “Univer” and “Real Boys” played an unprecedented positive role in the acceptance of the film by the audience. On the whole, both performers continued to play their roles in Nannies.
The latest projects
Ararat Keshchyan really lives his roles in films, so almost all of his characters evoke audience sympathy. An exception can only be the image of Jabrail in the "Caucasian Captive!" (2014). According to many movie experts, the actor should have embodied on the screen another character - a driver who helps Shurik save Nina. For the role of the uncle of the protagonist, the driver of Saakhov, he does not fit the image of the "Russified" Caucasian and age.
In 2016, Ararat starred in Dmitry Suvorov’s movie “Classmates”. The picture was crushingly criticized by experts, but found a response from a fairly wide range of Russian viewers. If the hero of Keshchyan took a second-place position in this project, then in the sequel to the comedy “Classmates: A New Turn” (2017), he played not one, but even two main roles at the same time. The frankly farcical comedy about finding the bridegroom who disappeared in Sochi in the filmography of Ararat is notable for the fact that he plays the twins, and the narrative is twisted around. Surprisingly, the actor has quite a bit of screen time, although he plays the role of two characters at once - the brothers Misha and Gosh.
