Many Russians start their day by pressing the TV button, where the Good Morning program charges positive and good mood on the First Day from five in Moscow. It seems that she is with us forever, but in fact the date of her birth is 1986 (“60 minutes”). And today, its duration is four hours, during which the live hosts inspire cheerfulness, share useful information and introduce interesting guests. Over the years, the format of the program changed, its leaders and presenters (Tatyana Vedeneeva, Sergey Dorenko, Andrei Malakhov, Tatyana Mitkova), who, as a rule, made a career and entered the new Rubicon, but in 2014 the fans were shocked by the news - on the eve of the 65th anniversary Boris Shcherbakov was fired from Channel One. A wide audience first recognized the patronymic of their favorite actor in 2007, when he appeared on television in the chair of the host of Good Morning. Before that, he worked for more than thirty years on the stage of the Moscow Art Theater, whose school he graduated from the course of Pavel Massalsky. In 2003, he left his favorite theater with the arrival of Oleg Tabakov, the main director of it, and was not ready for creative downtime. Playing on the same stage with Efremov, Evstigneev, Smoktunovsky, he made a difficult decision for himself, setting off for free swimming. An interesting new work on television is creative luck, a second wind, and in 2014, like a bolt from the blue: Boris Shcherbakov was fired from Channel One.
He himself recalls that he got into the program absolutely by accident, visiting a friend in the Ostankino studio. The casting of the hosts took place one floor below, and she advised Boris Vasilievich to take part. Already a People’s Artist of Russia, he laughed at the request to read the text, looking at the camera. But a week later it was he who received a call with an offer to start work. These were seven happy years, filled with the desire to send a good message daily to the audience, bring life to the screen, participating in dialogs not only with facial expressions, but also with the movement of hands, body. The first channel was his first live experience in 2013. The management constantly reported on the high rating of the program, then why Boris Shcherbakov was fired from Channel One?
How did it all happen
In 2014, Boris Vasilievich canceled several broadcasts. At first, he was even glad: he had a serious passion for applied art, and antreprise performances. Then he somehow became worried, and not in vain. The call to the morning broadcasting directorate in early August turned out to be fatal: they decided not to renew the contract with him anymore. Formally hit the most sick - age. A new time has come for live broadcasts, and this is a very difficult task, new cadres must come in place, young and ambitious.
Boris Shcherbakov was fired from the First Channel so that he gave youth a way. But in the West, sixty-year-old presenters are the norm, and our television has its own age luminaries - Vladimir Pozner, Leonid Yakubovich. Nevertheless, Boris Vasilievich met the news with understanding, until that moment until he saw his successor, forty-year-old Roman Budnikov, in whom he saw neither charisma, nor temperament, nor sense of humor.

Only after the passage of time can we understand: Boris Shcherbakov was fired from Channel One, because Good Morning was at the forefront of change. Today, the transmission is fundamentally different. Meetings of guests take place on the streets of a deserted city in the morning, the presenters withstand enormous loads, getting on the air at three o'clock, maintaining the cosmic pace and maintaining the wonderful mood that is presented to the audience. In the summer of 2015, the leading team received the TEFI award for the best daytime broadcast. And Roman Budnikov was rightfully included in the laureates.
Only one difficult question remains for the leadership about why Boris Shcherbakov was fired from Channel One, leaving him a sense of resentment on the eve of his own anniversary. Any creative person, and even more so a person who has not refused a single role in his life, playing them only in the movies for about two hundred, has the right to take care of himself. In January 2016, the channel devoted Saturday air to Boris Vasilievich, as if trying to make amends for a situation where none of his colleagues, except Ekaterina Strizhenova, even called the national artist with words of support.
Today Boris Shcherbakov is back in service, he works as a host on the Zvezda TV channel.
