If you have acquired a waffle iron, it's time to use it, especially since there are many recipes for making this treat - waffles are not only sweet, but also salty and fresh. However, before proceeding with the preparation, it is worth taking note of some tricks:
- Any dough for a waffle iron is made from products that should be at room temperature, because all the ingredients should be taken out of the refrigerator in advance so that they have time to warm up.
- Margarine or butter should be softened before being βincludedβ in the dough. Of course, margarine in its own way is not bad, affordable, and its varieties are of high quality, specially designed for baking. But to make the dough for the waffle iron really tasty, it is better to include natural creamy butter in it.
- Before starting the baking itself, the containers of the waffle iron into which the dough is poured are usually greased with vegetable oil or fat. Oil is preferred because he has no "greasy" smell. However, more precisely, this should be indicated in the instructions for the device.
- If a glass is indicated as one of the measurements of products in a dough for a waffle iron, then its volume is 250 ml. or 200 grams.

Let's try to make Belgian waffles. In shape, these are not tubules familiar to us, but squares similar to cookies (these are waffle iron tins). They are very tasty, crispy, airy.
So, in this dough for a waffle iron we use 3 eggs (of course, chicken, because other βbirdsβ do not go for dessert baking), 250 grams of premium wheat flour, 125 grams of butter (cream) or margarine for baking. We also need vanillin (1-2 sachets), a glass of milk, 125 milliliters of mineral water without gas, a little salt (it shades sugar). To make the dough airy, it is better to use a baking powder - the fourth part of a teaspoon. Now - in stages:
- Separate the whites from the yolks. Squirrels are thoroughly whipped with a whisk (for splendor, you can add a pinch of salt);
- yolks, vanillin, salt, oil, sugar are mixed in a container. Everything should also be beaten until the sugar dissolves (you can try - so as not to crack on the teeth);
- Sift the flour, mix the baking powder into it, add milk, butter-yolk mixture, then protein and mineral water. Mix everything thoroughly;
- Cookies are baked in a waffle iron for thick waffles. The forms are greased with oil, the dough is poured in portions, the lid is closed, the product is baked the time specified in the instructions for the device;
- ready-made waffles can be sprinkled with powdered sugar, cinnamon or just greased with condensed milk. And ... enjoy licking your fingers with pleasure!
Another recipe - we will learn how to make dough for tubes in a waffle iron. Naturally, in this case, the waffles should be thin. The ingredients are almost the same: 4 eggs, three quarters of a glass of sugar and two glasses of flour. You need a lot of starch - 2 teaspoons and even a few with a slide. One third of a packet of margarine or butter, a glass of milk, a bag of baking powder for dough and a little salt - to taste.
- Melt margarine (butter);
- Beat sugar and eggs, add margarine (butter) to the mixture, pour in starch, baking powder and salt;
- beat together thoroughly again, then add flour and knead the dough;
- slowly pour milk into the resulting mass - the trickle should be thin so that no lumps form. To do this, diligently mixing everything;
- heat the waffle iron and grease it with oil;
- pour the dough with a tablespoon in the middle of the form, squeeze the halves of the waffle iron and bake until cooked;
- and remove the wafer and immediately roll up a tube or a bag;
- when the waffles have cooled, they are filled with filling. It can be custard or butter cream, cream based on boiled condensed milk with nuts, cream whipped with sugar, fruit and berry jam, etc. Another option is to fill these tubes with homemade or weighted store ice cream. You can decorate the filler with grated chocolate, nut crumbs, coconut. Any option will be very, very tasty!
