As the name says, subcutaneous adipose tissue is a certain accumulation of fat under the skin. However, everything is not so simple, in fact they are a benign tumor formed from adipose tissue. Fatty animals are usually quite mobile and soft, even with small sizes they are easy to feel under the skin. If a person forms a lot of wen, this disease is called lipomatosis.
Adipose tissue under the skin can form anywhere where there is adipose tissue - on the head or neck, back or chest. As practice shows, subcutaneous adipose on the face is most often found in men, while in women they are, as a rule, on the body. It should be noted that lipomas can also occur inside any organ (stomach, breast, or even bone). The sizes of subcutaneous wen can be very different - from tiny like a pea to the size of a baby’s head. When a wen just appears, it is small, but grows over time. His height does not depend on the state of human health or his weight. Subcutaneous adipose tissue appears even in very thin people. With an increase, the wen can begin to sag, and its base stretches, forming a kind of leg. With the formation of such lipomas, tissue necrosis and blood stasis can begin, which is dangerous. No changes in the structure and color of the skin with the formation of a wen occurs. The exception is cases of infection (then the skin turns red).
Removal of lipomas occurs both for purely aesthetic reasons, and as indicated by the doctor. Naturally, few people like wen on the chin, cheek or any open part of the body, especially since they grow to very large sizes. In addition, adipose can be very painful and sometimes (although in very rare cases and, as a rule, adipose organs of internal organs) can develop into a malignant tumor. The smaller the wen, the more simple and effective the procedure for removing it and the more likely it will appear again in the same place. Therefore, if a lipoma occurs, you should not pay a visit to the doctor.
Causes of subcutaneous wen
Most often, subcutaneous wen appear in women from 30 to 50 years. Much less often they are in men. They arise when the opening of the duct of the sebaceous gland is blocked, however, science does not yet know why this happens, only hypotheses exist.
Treatment
In official medicine, there are two methods of treating lipomas. The first is used when the wen is small (up to 3 cm). In this case, you can enter a medicine in it that promotes resorption. However, the effect of such treatment becomes noticeable no sooner than after 2 months.
If the lipoma is more than 3 cm, then it is removed surgically. To do this, an operation is performed under general anesthesia, or with a laser - under local.
Folk remedies for the treatment of wen
1. Nettle tincture. It is used for resorption of small adipose tissue located on the extremities. To prepare the tincture, you need to tear up the nettle, thoroughly wash it, dry it and finely chop it. Then it must be tightly tamped in a glass jar and pour alcohol (strength 75%). The jar should be tightly closed and insisted in a cool dark place for 22 days.
The resulting tincture should be used as a compress, wrapping a sore spot with a warm cloth.
2. A mask of salt, sour cream and honey. In order for it to work more efficiently, you must first go to the bathhouse or sauna (i.e. warm up), and then put a mask of honey, salt and sour cream, taken in equal parts, on the wen. The mask should be kept for 20 minutes, then rinse with cold water. Repeat the procedure once every 1-2 days.
3. Compress from fragrant callicia sheets (better known as Golden mustache). It is applied to a wen, covered with polyethylene and a cloth on top. You need to wear it for 12 hours.
4. Celandine. A drop of juice of this plant must be applied to the wen, as a result of which a small hole forms in it. Then you need to put Vishnevsky ointment or an aloe leaf on it to stretch the contents.
5. Eat one and a half tablespoons of cinnamon every day.
