It should be juicy, soft, without any tendons or films.
Beef Baked in Foil
Such a recipe will surely appeal to all your guests. Ingredients
- beef - 2-3 kg;
- carrots - 1 pc;
- garlic - 3-4 cloves;
- onions - 1 pc;
- salt, herbs, spices.
Clean the meat from the films and wash. Cut carrots into small pieces, onion in half rings, and chop the garlic into small pieces. Fill the beef with garlic and carrots, piercing it in front of this knife. After this, grate the meat with spices and salt.
Then lay a double folded foil at the bottom of the mold. In the center put onions, parsley and sprigs of dill. Place the meat on top, overlaying the sides with onions and herbs. Wrap all this carefully in foil. To do this, raise the edges of the originally laid foil and tightly connect at the top. Then take a deep baking sheet and pour a little water, where and place the meat in foil. Cover and place in the oven. You can also do without water.
Beef baked in foil is cooked at a temperature of 200 degrees for 40 minutes. After this, the foil needs to be slightly opened and the meat checked. If it is not ready yet, then it must be wrapped in foil and baked for 15 more until fully cooked.
It should be noted that beef baked in an air grill is cooked in the same way. Only in this case, it is necessary to carefully monitor the temperature, which should not exceed 180 degrees. - sage - half a glass (finely chopped);
- olive oil - half a cup;
- orange zest - half a glass (preferably shallow);
- potatoes - one and a half kg;
- salt, black pepper (ground), bay leaf.
In a small plate, mix the oil, zest, bay leaf, sage, pepper and salt (one and a half teaspoons). The resulting mixture must be carefully rubbed a piece of beef and placed in a refrigerator or other cool place for 10 hours. After this time, the meat needs to stand at room temperature for several hours.
In order for the beef to be juicy, it is very important to monitor the temperature during cooking. Initially, preheat the oven to 240 degrees and place the meat in a baking dish in it. After half an hour, lower the temperature to 170 degrees and bake the meat for an hour and a half.
In order to check if the beef is ready, you can use two methods - by color or by using a thermometer. If you have a thermometer, then measure the temperature of the meat inside, which should not be lower than 50 degrees. And if there is no thermometer, then its color inside should be pink. If you are convinced that the meat is ready, then you should turn off the oven and do not remove the meat for another 20 minutes.
