It reduces the outflow of lymphoid fluid, inhibits the migration of monocytes into the focus of inflammation, reducing the body's response to pathogenic irritants.
The antiallergic effect is due to inhibition of the synthesis of allergy mediators, the production of immunoglobulins.
Dexamethasone accelerates protein catabolism. Restores electrolyte balance by reducing calcium absorption, sodium and water retention.
Indications for the use of Oftan Dexamethasone drops are the following diseases:
- non-purulent forms of conjunctivitis;
- keratitis without purulent exudate;
- inflammation of the edges of the eyelids (blepharitis);
- non-purulent inflammation of the external connective tissue membrane of the eyeball (scleritis);
- inflammation of the vascular retina of various genesis;
- chemical, physical surface injuries of the cornea;
- choroiditis.
Oftan Timolol
Ophthalmic beta-blocker group. It has a hypotensive, anti-glaucoma effect.
The active substance is timolol. When applied topically, it reduces the production of aqueous humor and enhances its outflow, thereby reducing eye pressure, both high and normal. The remedy begins to act in 20 minutes. The maximum effect is achieved after two hours and persists for a day. The drug does not cause expansion or narrowing of the pupil and does not affect the ability of the eye to clearly distinguish between images.
The use of Oftan Timolol drops is indicated for certain pathologies of the visual system, which include:
- simple chronic, often bilateral (optionally symmetrical) glaucoma;

Ophthalmic drug "Oftan Idu"
Antiviral eye drops. The active pharmaceutical substance of the drug is idoxuridine. Its pharmacological effect is due to a violation of the synthesis of nucleic acids and the suppression of the process of division of viral cells, mainly herpetic.
