In Russia, beans are rarely used in cooking. These fruits are especially popular in America and Asian countries. There, they have long been preparing a lot of delicious and healthy dishes. Beans can be boiled, stewed and even canned. In this sense, the hostesses have a great choice. But most of them still prefer fried beans. As such, these fruits can be a full dinner, an excellent beer snack and just a spicy dish for meeting guests. Each of these options should be considered separately.
Simple and delicious
In anticipation of the guests, each housewife always asks one and the same question: what to cook for the table? After all, I want to not only feed my friends, but also surprise me with something. For this case, fried beans are perfect. Firstly, in our country they are rarely prepared, and secondly, this dish is very high-calorie and nutritious. For its preparation you will need: 600 grams of fresh beans, 5 grams of salt, leek and monosodium glutamate, 75 grams of pork fat, 10 grams of sugar and 75 milliliters of chicken stock.
Making fried beans is easy:
- First, the fruits must be thoroughly washed, and then let the water drain. Products should be practically dry.
- Heat fat in a deep pan to make it crackle.
- Pour beans and fry, stirring constantly.
- Pour the broth and add all other ingredients according to the recipe (with the exception of onions).
- Simmer under the lid until the beans are soft enough.
- Add chopped green onions and shake the pan well.
Now fried beans can be safely spread in a deep plate and serve. Guests will definitely appreciate this fragrant and very unusual dish.
Beer snack
Beer lovers will love the original fried beans with salt. True, it will be a little more difficult to cook them, because you will have to take care of this in advance. For work you will need: broad beans (sometimes they are also called "horse" or "fava"), vegetable oil, drinking soda, sea salt (large).
The cooking process consists of several stages:
- First, fresh fruits should be soaked in cold water for 18 hours. To make their flesh more tender, you need to add a little soda at the rate of 12 grams per glass of beans.
- Then the fruits should be well dried. To do this, you can use napkins or a regular towel.
- Cut each bean with a sharp knife. The gap should not be very deep.
- Heat the oil in a frying pan, and then fry the prepared fruits in it until they become a pleasant golden hue. This should be done in small portions. So the beans can fry well from all sides.
- Put the finished products on a plate and lightly sprinkle them with salt.
It is better to eat such beans hot. Due to the contrast with cold beer, the effect of such an appetizer will be much stronger.
Beans in pods
There are many interesting dishes in Chinese cuisine, the main component of which is beans. Local chefs often use young asparagus fruits in pods. Usually in cafes and restaurants they cook such fried beans. The recipe requires the following ingredients: 450 grams of green beans, 300 milliliters of water, a teaspoon of soy sauce and the same amount of brown sugar, 4 teaspoons peanut butter, 1 centimeter of ginger root, and 4 feathers of fresh green onions.
A dish is prepared in literally 15 minutes:
- First, in a special pan with a thick bottom, you need to thoroughly heat part of the oil.
- Transfer washed beans to it.
- Add finely ground ginger and fry for about 60 seconds.
- Pour food into water, add sugar and mix.
- Make the flame of fire less and fry for another 5 minutes, until the pods themselves become really soft.
- Pour the sauce, put the remaining oil and sprinkle everything with chopped green onions.
On a plate, such a dish looks very impressive and appetizing.
