Adventure continues ...
Three years before the release of this picture, under the direction of director Alexander Rogozhkin , the previous film about the features of the national hunt, which many Russians liked, was already released. Therefore, it was decided to continue the adventures of three friends. And so it happened. And at first, none of the crew did not talk about where they filmed "Features of national fishing."
In the first part of this long story, Raivo already managed to find out what a real Russian hunt is. Now he will see firsthand how the local peasants usually fish. Three heroes with whom the audience had already met, General Ivolgin, huntsman Kuzmich and Leva Soloveichik, were going fishing. As usual, they began to drink non-stop, did not pay attention to the fact that they were abroad, in Finland. Since they crossed the border illegally, friends are going to quickly return home, to Russia. Only in a hurry, they completely forgot about the fifteen boxes of a warming drink they took with them for fishing. Therefore, they need to go back and pick up the vodka. Men are ready for anything for such a serious mission. They even use the Russian Navy.
Bah, familiar faces!
The director decided to leave the same actors for filming in the second part about the adventures of Russian men. This was done for one simple reason: the new film is a sequel. Therefore, other persons would not give a complete picture of what is happening. So Alexey Buldakov (general), Viktor Bychkov (Kuzmich) and Semen Strugachev (Soloveichik) remained in the film. Finn Wille Haapasalo, adored by millions of Russians, is still here .
So, thanks to the adventures of this four organically seen in the frame, the audience was able to see all the beauty of the area where they filmed “Features of national fishing”.
For the filming of this film, as many as 30 boxes of alcohol were prepared - real vodka. By the way, in the frame, the actors drank it. The director did this, explaining his decision by the fact that pouring ordinary water into vodka bottles would be a very long time. Then it turned out that this rather strong drink was singed. It is good that none of the crew suffered much damage.
“There was such a case in our village ...”
Places where they filmed “Features of national fishing” were remembered by all actors for life. And this is not surprising, because with each of them there were not only curious, but also quite dangerous cases.
While working on the film, the crew accidentally fell from the raft, which at that time was a temporary platform for filming. Eight members of the group nearly choked in a not very warm water. Thanks to the illuminator, who managed to pull out the cord with a heroic effort (and the voltage was 380 volts) before the raft went under water, the crew remained alive.
Another case occurred with Alexei Buldakov. A ring was ripped off his fishing line from his finger - a gift from his wife. The actor ducked into the water after him, catching the ring simply with the help of a miracle - his mouth. And while he was floundering in the water, they continued to shoot him.
Force Majeure
So where did they shoot “Features of National Fishing”? The description of these places can best reveal the mysterious and sometimes incomprehensible Russian soul. The entire filming process took place in Karelia, on the shores of the Gulf of Finland. More precisely, in the area of the Northern Ladoga. It is the beauty of the places of Karelia that inspired the director to choose this object. Now this place is located very popular with tourists camping "Cordon Kuzmich."
It seems that the work was carried out according to plan, with the arrangement, but it could not do without force majeure. To show all the charm of the lands of Karelia, the operator ran across rough terrain and tried to remove all the necessary landscapes at once, from one take. Next to him were the actors. General Buldakov accidentally fell into the water, where he clung to a stone. As a result, a crack in the right rib. In addition, in this frame he starred in a heavy suit, which pulled him to the bottom. Therefore, the artist had to, like the notorious Baron Munchausen, get himself out of the water with one hand. In the second at that time there was a fishing rod.
Now that it’s already become clear where the “Features of National Fishing” was filmed, we can say with confidence that the choice of location was absolutely right.
Sergey Russkin (role - Sergey Savchenko) almost caught a cold. One of the scenes (according to the scenario, he skidded on his jeep on the road during heavy rain) was filmed with fifty times. To pull out the hero of Ruskin, an off-road car had to be picked up to the car. And then it turned out that they tied not him, but an ordinary cow.
Awards that were not even guessed
The whole crew wanted to shoot a simple, unremarkable, but interesting picture. And a few years later, the actors recalled how the director kept screaming about them playing seriously. Perhaps that is why something worthwhile came out of this story. During the filming, everyone lived in a huge friendly family, worked for a couple of cents and did not think that they were doing something special. Even when they arrived at Kinotavr, the actors were sure that their film was pretty ordinary. And even those beautiful places where they shot the film “Features of National Fishing”, did not seem to the film crew as anything special.
Imagine the surprise of all those present when this particular picture received all the prizes.
