Liv 52

The drug called "Liv 52" is a complex plant hepatoprotector, which has a positive effect on the regeneration of liver cells, and also stimulates the function of biosynthesis performed by them. In addition, the drug is able to weaken the effect of lipid peroxidation on the membranes of hepatocytes and suppress the effect of toxins on the liver. The drug also improves appetite and normalizes digestion. Acts as an antioxidant, choleretic, anti-inflammatory and diuretic. The drug is available in the form of drops or tablets, which differ from each other exclusively in the method of application.

The tablets and drops contain powders and extracts of chicory, prickly capers, black nightshade, arjun, western cassia, ordinary yarrow, Gallic tamarisk.

"Liv 52" is prescribed in case of chronic or acute hepatitis of various etiologies, as well as various cirrhosis of the liver. Among the indications are also pre-cirrhotic conditions, fatty degeneration and biliary dyskinesia, cholecystitis. The drug is also very effective for prevention. In most cases, it is prescribed as part of the complex therapy of anorexia and other manifestations of body depletion, with a decrease in body weight in young children and with paraproteinemia.

Liv 52 tablets are used strictly according to the doctorโ€™s recommendations. As a rule, small children under the age of 6 are prescribed one or two tablets up to 4 times a day. Adults take two to three tablets also 3-4 times a day. Tablets are taken half an hour before a meal. For prevention, two tablets are taken twice a day.

"Liv 52" drops are taken orally. Adults are prescribed 1-2 teaspoons twice a day. Children from two to ten years old take 10-20 drops twice, and for preventive purposes only one teaspoon per day will be enough.

If we talk about side effects, it should be noted that in most cases the drug is tolerated very well, however, the main condition for this development of events is compliance with all the rules for admission and strict adherence to the recommendations of the attending physician. Sometimes, in the case of individual intolerance to one of the components of the drug, various allergic reactions can occur, as well as dyspeptic problems from the gastrointestinal tract.

"Liv 52" is contraindicated in pregnant women and lactating women, as well as people with hypersensitivity to the components of the drug.

Tablets and drops should be stored at room temperature in a dry, dark place for no more than three years from the date of issue.
