Denis Vorontsov, whose real name is Sergey Melkonyan, who has been dreaming of the actorâs life almost from childhood, is known to us from the comedy series âDadâs Daughtersâ. Despite the fact that his family was against such a decision, he was persistent and, despite his young age, had already made a good career in this field. He was especially remembered by viewers in the comedy series "Daddy's Daughters", playing there the role of Denis Vorontsov - the guy of one of the main characters.
Childhood
The birthday of Sergei Melkonyan (Vorontsov Denis) coincided with the eve of the New Year holidays - December 31, 1986. Despite the fact that his whole family was of Armenian nationality, they lived in Batumi (Georgia). After Sergeyâs father received an institute diploma, he was invited to work at the Zhukovsky Central Aerohydrodynamic Institute. Father accepted the offer, and the family of the future actor moved to live in the near Moscow region.
One of his favorite movie actors has always been Jim Carrey, who attracted with his inimitable facial expressions. His other favorite actor was Louis de Funes.
First performances
Sergei began to attend the theater club at school, taking part in the performances of the school theater "SHEST". After leaving school, Melkonyan had already decided for himself that the scene was his vocation. His father dissuaded him from acting, focusing on the fact that his son should become an engineer or steelworker.
Nevertheless, Sergei made his choice on his own and entered the GITIS pop art faculty, thanks to the patronage of Valery Garkalin,
immediately to the second year, previously trying to enter almost all theatrical schools of the capital (2003). This was largely facilitated by his work at the SHEST theater, which taught the aspiring actor to independence. The specifics of staging the performances there was the fact that the sketches were prepared independently, and the director only inserted ready-made scenes into the play.
Admission to GITIS
Most importantly, the future Vorontsov Denis did not even pass the really entrance exams - he just told a couple of jokes, and was immediately enrolled in GITIS. In parallel with his studies, he taught at his native theater, which was located in Zhukovsky, next to the actorâs house.

But the actor brought popularity to Denis Vorontsov from âDaddy's daughtersâ - the guy of the athlete Zhenya Vasnetsova. The guy appears in the famous nationwide comedy series in the 173rd series, when the project was already at the peak of popularity.

At the beginning of the eleventh season, Denis and Zhenya undergo aptitude tests for work on Radio Active. During it, they determine whether Vorontsov has not only leadership qualities, but also suicidal tendencies. An additional problem is the return of Vasnetsovâs grandmother from the summer cottage. Where will Denis Vorontsov live now? The actor perfectly conveyed the emotions of his hero in this period of time. Especially he manages to convey the sense of jealousy that Denis experiences with his wife, at a time when she has another boyfriend.
