Indications for use of this drug are wider than some other sulfonamides, since it is active against the trachoma virus. Unfortunately, this drug has little effect on Proteus and practically does not affect some bacterial strains that are resistant to other drugs of this group. In especially severe cases of diseases, the drug is recommended to be taken in combination with other long-acting sulfonamides and antibiotics of the erythromycin or penicillin group.
