Plot

The tape is based on the novel of the same name by Neil Gaiman. Famous and novice actors gave the characters new faces and images. Stardust tells of the English village of Zastenje, adjacent to the magical land of Stormhold.

A young man, Dunstan Thorne, enters the magical city and falls in love with the captive princess. After 9 months, they throw him a newborn son Tristan. After many years, the already matured Tristan falls in love with the first city beauty, but she is going to marry another. In desperation, the guy promises to bring a star that fell behind the wall.

Tristan tells his father about this, and he reveals the secret of his unusual birth. The legacy of the guy was the Babylonian candle, which will carry him to his mother. But Tristan thinks of a star, and a magical artifact takes him to the place of her fall.

The star fell not by accident. The king of Stormhold was dying and announced that the heir to the crown would be the returning amulet thrown into the sky. The amulet knocks down a star, and princes set off in search of it.

Tristan finds himself at the site of the fall of the star and discovers that this is a beautiful girl, Ivein. She finds the amulet and puts it on her neck. Despite unusual circumstances, the guy decides to bring Iveyne to his bride, and then return to heaven with the help of the remainder of the Babylonian candle.

The princes who hunt for the amulet and the witches who want to kill Iwain in order to regain witchcraft power try to disrupt their plans. The captain of an air pirate ship helps young people. Having experienced many adventures together, they fall in love with each other. Then Tristan decides to stay with Iveyne, but before that he has to speak with his former lover. As proof, he takes with him into the real world a strand of star hair.
