It is shown how a partisan detachment of twelve people develops into a powerful military unit - the First Ukrainian Division, commanded by Kovpak and Commissioner Rudnev.
The second film is called Buran. He tells of a raid behind enemy lines, in 1941-1942. The battles during the crossing of Pripyat and the Dnieper, the operation near Sarny are described.
The third film tells about the raid of the partisan formation in the Carpathians in the summer of 1943.
