Gos. Khabarovsk circus is the youngest in Russia. It is located in a beautiful park to them. Yuri Alekseevich Gagarin. Its official opening took place in 2001. The circus does not have its own permanent collective; Russian and foreign artists coming on tour perform in it. During the life of the circus in its arena gave a presentation a large number of circus groups.
A bit of history
The very first circus artists appeared in Khabarovsk at the end of the 19th century. Their performances were a great success with the audience. But due to the distant location of Khabarovsk from the central regions of Russia, they were unstable. A large number of performances were held in big top circuses temporarily located in the market square. In the first half of the 20th century, an entrepreneur Martini erected a stationary circus room in Khabarovsk and leased it to artists who came on tour.
After some time, the circus building became very dilapidated, and the local authorities decided to rebuild a new summer building. This stationary circus room operated until 1959. In the same year, the newest summer building of the circus of Khabarovsk was rebuilt, its hall for spectators consisted of 1950 seats. The main drawback of this circus was a short summer period.
A permanent, all-weather circus building was erected in 2001.
Until October 1, 2005, the Circus was managed by the Directorate of the Khabarovsk Circus together with the branch of the Russian State Circus.
With the breaking of the agreement by the Russian State Circus about renting a circus complex, from October 1, 2005 it was transferred to the Khabarovsk Regional Cinema and Video Rental, then renamed the Khabarovsk Regional Cinema and Circus Association.
From 01.01.2011, the Cinema and Circus Association was reorganized into the Regional State Autonomous Cultural Institution "Khabarovsk Regional Cinema and Circus Association".
Permanent Circus of Khabarovsk
The plan of the stationary building combines the layout of the premises of the Yaroslavl, Ussuriysk and Irkutsk circuses. This is the first permanent complex, which includes a circus and a hotel for artists. The hall seats 1340 people, the height of the dome is 17 meters. As a result, a unique masterpiece of architecture came out, which is the main decoration of the city. Residents of the city call the circus the pearl of Khabarovsk architecture. According to the project, the circus building was supposed to be built for three years, but it was built in one year. The building of the state circus of Khabarovsk is equipped with new acoustic and light special equipment, with the help of which they make high-level performances.
A large number of circus Russian groups and foreign ones staged their performances in the arena. The circus performances in Khabarovsk were successfully shown under the guidance of famous artists: Nikolai Pavlenko, Mstislav Zapashny, Tigran Hakobyan, Natalya Serge and others.
Urban events are also held at the circus. KVN teams, singers, dance groups give performances for the audience.
Circus team
For the twelve-year period of the circus, a friendly team was formed. The circus old-timer is the chief administrator Zhdanko Tamara Petrovna, she started working in it when he was still at the Central Market on Tolstoy Street.
Veterinarian Natalia Vitalievna Pozdeeva has been working in the circus since the opening. It helps sick animals recover, and also takes birth in animals, which is a big event for the circus.
Sound engineer Alexander Vasilievich Oblachnov also works with the opening of the circus. He is a virtuoso of his craft. His talent is highly appreciated by all artists who come on tour.
Senior administrator Vyacheslav Mikhailovich Gerber in the circus since 2003. He has been conducting various advertising campaigns for ten years.
Since October 1, 2005, Irina Gennadyevna Tumashova has been working in the circus, who has moved from the post of chief engineer of the Voskhod cinema to the Kinozirkovo Association to the position of deputy chief engineer, and later she was transferred to the deputy director. Now she leads the team.
Circus performances
During the existence of the circus, the audience was shown the programs of the Russian State Circus, Nikulin Circus, the Big St. Petersburg State Circus, the Moscow Circus on Tsvetnoy Boulevard, the Mongolian Circus, the Romanian Circus, the Chinese, the Diamond Circus of Yakutia, Warsaw and others.

Artists of various genres from the former republics of the Soviet Union, from Kenya, France, Egypt performed at the circus arena of Khabarovsk.

About 2 thousand animals appeared on the arena: cats, dogs, horses, cows, ponies, pigs, geese, roosters, goats, foxes, bears, wolves, deers, bison, tigers, monkeys, lions, elephants, parrots, hippos, crocodiles , snakes, ostriches, peacocks, pelicans, pigeons, zebras, kangaroos, raccoons, silver foxes, arctic foxes, porcupines, sea lions, fur seals, penguins and others.
At the request of the audience, many programs came on tour in Khabarovsk many times. All the time, children from boarding schools and orphanages, veterans, children from low-income families, military conscripts are invited to charity performances.
City events
In the Khabarovsk circus, various events are held at the city and regional levels. In the arena, events were held dedicated to the anniversaries of the Khabarovsk and Industrial regions, the year of the family, seventy years were celebrated by the Khabarovsk Committee of Physical Culture and Sports.
