“Turtle” - a recipe with grapes
For 8 servings, you will need canned pineapples (1 can), sweet canned corn (1 can), two boiled eggs, two chicken breasts, mayonnaise, salt, grapes.
Order of preparation:
- Boil the chicken meat, cut into small pieces.
- Finely chopped boiled eggs and pineapples.
- Put meat, eggs, pineapples and corn in a salad bowl, drain the liquid first.
- Stir thoroughly, salt and season with mayonnaise to taste.
- To form a hill of this mass on a flat plate - this will be the main part of which the salad consists . The turtle, the recipe of which requires the presence of a shell, legs and head, should be covered with halves of grape berries, which will imitate the roughness of its shell. Cut the berries in half and decorate the surface with them.
- The head can be made from a whole egg, in which black pepper will play the role of the eyes, and carrot - the mouth.
- Four legs can be formed from a small amount of salad mass, and decorate the salad with mayonnaise mesh.
“Turtle” - the recipe is very simple, but it looks elegant on the table and will not leave anyone indifferent, especially children. Therefore, this dish is perfect for a children's holiday. The recipe can be changed: instead of grapes for the shell, use walnuts, halves of prunes, olives or, possibly, something else.
An interesting salad - “Turtle” with mushrooms
Salad consists of several layers. Cooking method:
- Grate 4 pre-boiled eggs.
- Cut two medium onions into strips and fry in vegetable oil together with mushrooms (400 g).
- Cut 4 slices of the white loaf into cubes and lightly fry in vegetable oil.
- Approximately 100 g of hard cheese, grate on a medium sized grater (can be cut into small cubes).
- Cut the ham into strips or small cubes.
- Lay the products in layers on a beautiful flat dish, smearing them with mayonnaise, in the following sequence: eggs, ham, mushrooms with onions, fried long loaf.
- Form a salad in the form of a tortoise shell, anoint it with mayonnaise and decorate with walnuts (half a glass).
Half of the boiled egg will be the head of the turtle, and the legs are made from whole halves of the walnut. Parsley or lettuce leaves complete the composition.
Winter's Tale - Snowdrift Salad
The recipe for this very beautiful and delicious salad is simple and very fast to prepare. Its highlight is the delicate shavings of cheese grated. The finished salad, which you will cover with mayonnaise and cheese, will exactly resemble a winter snow-white snowdrift. This salad looks very appropriate during winter feasts.
Cooking sequence:
This salad can be served in portions in bowls separately for each guest. Prepare the bowls and lay the component products in layers. The quantity is indicated per serving.
- Cut approximately 50 g of lean pork (pre-cooked) into strips.
- Tear a leaf of green salad into pieces or cut and put in a bowl on a layer of meat.
- Pour on top with mayonnaise.
- Pour finely chopped carrots (one-third of the carrots) with boiling water and put on mayonnaise.
- Pitted olives (about 5 pcs.) Cut into rings and put in a bowl.
- Pour mayonnaise again (a little).
- Cover with grated cheese (about 50 g). Cheese should be grated separately and gently sprinkle the entire slide with a fork to make the salad look like a real snowdrift.
- To finish the composition, put on a skewer a slice of orange carrots and black olive, and decorate the already prepared salad with this.
