Previously, sandwiches were associated with "wrong food" - everyone probably heard the phrase "Eating very dry is very harmful!" Now, harmless constructions of bread and fillings have been rehabilitated due to their versatility and satiety. Sandwiches are the closest relatives of sandwiches, differing only in that they include two pieces of bread.

You can buy them at any point in the food service, but it’s much more beneficial, cheaper and tastier to do it yourself. They can even be made dietary! For example, a chicken sandwich in which there is little bread, but a lot of toppings. Complete it with fresh vegetables - and a delicious, healthy lunch is ready!

Panini with Chicken and Cheese

Panini is a beautiful Italian variation of the well-known hot sandwich. Of course, it is most convenient to cook it in a special apparatus or waffle iron, but an ordinary frying pan will also work - just use some small press on top to "hook" the products inside. So, prepare a hot sandwich with chicken and cheese! We need the following products:

  • grain bread - 2 slices;
  • ready-made chicken (baked, boiled) - 70 g;
  • Mozzarella cheese - 2 small balls;
  • tomato - 2 slices;
  • French mustard - 1 tsp.

All products are given for 1 serving, if necessary, multiply by the number of eaters.

Cooking

Place a thick-bottomed pan over medium heat. Do not oil.

Smear a slice of bread with mustard, top with tomato, chicken and sliced ​​cheese alternately on top. Press on top with a second slice of bread.

Put the resulting sandwich on a preheated pan, place something heavy on top for better contact - for example, a jar with a flat bottom.

Turn the chicken sandwich over when it is lightly browned and fry it on the other side, also using the weight on top.

Your task is to ensure that it acquires an even crisp, and the cheese melts inside, soaking the filling and giving it a rich creamy taste. That's all! Your sandwich is ready, you can eat it right away or take it with you as a snack.

Sandwich with a la Caprese chicken

Caprese is a famous Italian salad consisting of tomatoes, Mozzarella cheese, fresh basil and pesto sauce. We decided to add boiled chicken fillet to it for more satiety, as it fits perfectly into the overall freshly spicy taste of the sandwich. This recipe is more complicated than the previous one, but the result is worth it. A set of ingredients:

  • raw chicken fillet - 120 g;
  • ready pesto sauce - 1 tbsp. l .;
  • bread (best ciabatta) - 2 slices;
  • Mozzarella cheese - 2 balls;
  • fresh tomato - 2 slices;
  • fresh basil - 3 leaves;
  • olive oil - 1 tsp;
  • salt, black pepper - to taste.

Cooking

To get started, take care of the chicken. Marinate it in pesto sauce, leave for 15 minutes, then tightly wrap in foil and bake for half an hour at a temperature of 180 ° C. Cool, without removing the foil.

Cut the fully prepared cold chicken into slices.

In order to collect this chicken sandwich (photo below), put tomatoes on a slice of bread, chopped cheese on top.

Drizzle olive oil over the cheese, sprinkle with salt and pepper and lay out the basil leaves.

Lay pieces of chicken on top of the greens.

Press the whole structure with a second loaf of bread. If you want, then fry the sandwich, like the panini in the recipe above, but it is delicious and so, in the cold. Ideal for the summer, especially if you cook the chicken in advance.

Chicken sandwich: take care in advance!

Sandwiches and sandwiches are good because they fit perfectly under the line “I blinded it from what it was”: they can be stuffed with everything that is in the refrigerator. Great temptation to add meat ready-to-cook foods, right? But in the name of a healthy diet, we strongly recommend not to get involved in them. As an alternative, we recommend making chicken pastrami - a wonderful cold appetizer that can be sliced ​​and added to a sandwich. You can do with a margin and freeze part. So take:

  • chicken fillet - 500 g;
  • mustard - 1 tsp;
  • paprika (regular or smoked) - 1 tsp;
  • chilli - 0.5 tsp;
  • garlic - 2 cloves;
  • black - pepper to taste;
  • water (1) - 1 tbsp. l .;
  • water (2) - 500 ml;
  • salt - 1 tsp. with a slide.

You will also need a thick culinary thread.

Step by step

Dissolve the salt in cold water (500 ml).

Put the chicken fillet in this solution and put it in the cold for two hours.

Grind the garlic, combine with paprika, mustard, chili, black pepper and water. Mix the resulting paste until smooth.

Remove the fillet, pat dry and generously coat with half the mixture.

Form sausages from fillet, for greater density fastened with culinary thread.

Lubricate the resulting semi-finished products with plenty of remaining paste. Put the fillet in the refrigerator again for 3-4 hours.

Preheat the oven to 250 o C.

Cover the baking sheet with baking paper, put the chicken rolls and bake for 20 minutes.

Turn off the oven and, without opening the door, leave the pastra in it to cool for 2 hours.

After that, pack the finished snack tightly in foil and place in the refrigerator overnight.
