The name "oats" in Latin sounds like "avena", i.e. "to be healthy". But after all, not only your mood, but also your appearance will depend on how much you feel like that.
Oat is one of the most useful foods of modern man. This is a powerful prophylactic that can strengthen the body's immunity. Not so long ago, modern scientists discovered an enzyme in it that helps the intestine absorb the consumed fat. In addition, this cereal contains in its composition a sufficient number of biologically active compounds that favorably affect the functioning of the pancreas, as well as strengthening muscle contractions of the body. Oats are an extremely valuable and nutritious product. It contains many complex carbohydrates, high-quality protein and fiber.
Modern industry produces a lot of products, which include oats. Remember at least delicious oatmeal cookies, oatmeal, etc. Oatmeal and oat broth are very popular. The last dish is no less useful than the rest.
Using a decoction of oats, you saturate the body with fats. Yes Yes. And this should not be surprised. Indeed, oats are the most fat-rich cereal. It is also very rich in protein, which contains a lot of essential acids, such as tryptophan, lysine, and methionine. The broth of oats was very popular thanks to the great French doctor Jean de S. Catherine, who everywhere promoted him as an elixir of longevity. He consumed broth daily in the spring, summer, and autumn. The doctor’s regimen was the use of two glasses on an empty stomach, two glasses two hours before lunch, and the same two glasses three hours after it. And by the way, the famous doctor lived up to 120 years. This is not proof of the benefits of the product.
One of the secrets of oats is the action of beta-glucan, which forms a protective film on the intestinal walls, which saves it for a while from the penetration of various pathogenic bacteria. Equally important is the presence of fiber, which, itself having a fairly low energy value, helps to reduce the calorie content of the products in which it is located. In addition, the starch, which is part of oats, is rather slowly digested and absorbed by our body, which allows us to feel full for several hours.
Our distant ancestors knew about how to make a decoction of oats. After all, its usefulness has been known since ancient times. They often used it as one of the “beneficial drugs”.
And cooking it is quite simple. Two glasses of oats purchased, for example, in a store selling pet food, should be poured with one liter of raw water for 12 hours. Better at night. The next morning it should be brought to a boil and cook over low heat for about an hour and a half. Evaporated water should be supplemented as necessary. Then it is insisted and filtered. Swollen oats with the addition of a certain amount of broth are grinded in a blender and boiled again for half an hour until a jelly-like consistency is obtained. That's all.
The oats broth, the recipe of which you read, must be stored in the refrigerator and consumed, if possible, faster, since it quickly deteriorates.
