If itâs worth watching some movie on New Yearâs Eve, itâs âNew Yearâs Ratesâ directed by Yevgeny Bedarev. Everything you need for a festive mood is in this comedy. The actors of the film âNew Yearâs Rateâ will charge you with optimism, share their love of life, make them laugh, make you even cry at some moments, and then smile again. Who will the viewer see on the screens if he decides to watch this film?
Actors and roles, creators of the film âNew Yearâs Rateâ
The director of the New Year's comedy, which began shooting in 2007, was then a young and little-known Evgeny Bedarev. True, on the account of Eugene already had a moving picture "Waiting for a miracle" with Ekaterina Kopanova in the title role. This work of Bedarev was warmly received by viewers: a good atmosphere, light and subtle humor, in addition, there is a place for romance. While shooting the film âNew Yearâs Rateâ, the director did not depart from his principles and his inherent style, so he worked on the next film in approximately the same vein.
The producer of the tape was Igor Tolstunov ("Thief", "Kazan Orphan"). Elena Laskareva and Anastasia Volkova worked on the script, but not without the participation of Evgeny Bedarev.
Filmmakers were able to watch the âNew Year's Rateâ in cinemas in December 2008. The film paid for itself at the box office, but did not earn significant funds: for investments of $ 3,200,000, only $ 3,877,492 was raised.
Maxim Matveev as Andrey
The actors and the roles of the film âNew Yearâs Tariffâ will be remembered for a long time, and the audience will then smile more than once after watching this comedy.
The plot of the picture revolves around a mystical story: the main character Andrei, performed by Maxim Matveev, mistakenly calls a stranger with a charming voice, but is not in a hurry to drop the phone, but tries to get to know her. When young people are going to meet in real life, it suddenly turns out that Andrei called the past, that is, from 2009 to 2008, a girl who should die on New Yearâs Eve. To prevent this accident, Andreiâs friends team up with Alenaâs friends in 2008 to fix everything on the night of 2009. Only now, with their actions, the guys cause a lot of comical situations, and, it seems, make it worse.
Maxim Matveev in this film did not depart from his usual role: he appeared before the audience in the image of a romantic, spectacular young man who easily falls in love with a stranger, and then as a true gentleman tries to save her.
"New Year's tariff": actors and roles. Valeria Lanskaya
Valeria Lanskaya is well known to the viewer for her roles in the TV series Yesenin, Life That Never Was, Fighters: The Last Battle, and in many other films. Valeria is considered one of the most promising actresses in Russian cinema, although she is rarely shot and prefers the theater more.
In the comedy "New Yearâs Tariff" she got the role of the main character - Alena - a naive, good-natured and romantic girl. For many years, Alena has been feeding the most tender feelings for a young man from her friendly company, but he responds to her feelings only with cold indifference.
And on one of such unfortunate evenings, when Alena feels rejected and unnecessary, Andrei calls her. Word for word, a telephone romance arises between people, and now they are ready for anything - even change their fate, if necessary - just to meet next year and look into each other's eyes.
Svetlana Sukhanova as Rita
In the film "New Year's Eve", the actors Lanskaya and Matveyev are responsible for the romantic component, while comedic tasks are assigned to the shoulders of all other artists. And here, of course, not without a characteristic actress - Svetlana Sukhanova.
Due to her non-standard appearance, the actress managed to funny and ironically play her heroine - Ritka. Rita is a kind and loyal friend, and indeed a good girl, only in her personal life she is just as unlucky as Alena.
When Ritka finds out that her friend is in danger, she is the first to come to her aid. But for the success of the enterprise, Alena's company must team up with Andrei's friends. It was then that Rita completely unexpectedly finds for herself a lover in the person of the Kot obtus performed by Roman Polyansky. But before that, the cheerful little Ritka will fall into more than one funny situation with her new friends.
Svetlana Sukhanova can also be seen in the series âNew Year's Matchmakersâ and âWhen the Fern Blossomsâ.
Boris Korchevnikov as Pashka
In the comedy âNew Yearâs Rateâ, the actors, together, or rather their characters, are trying to save the life of their friend Alena. The whole action is considered, of course, not from a tragic, but from a humorous point of view. And here it is impossible to overestimate the comedic effect that the actors Boris Korchevnikov and Yevgeny Slavsky managed to achieve when they dressed for the âmissionâ in squirrel and deer costumes.
As they say, if not for this directorial move, the film would have lost a lot. It is impossible to calmly watch as two adult men in such ridiculous costumes pose as special agents on a mission.
If we talk about the person of Boris Korchevnikov in life, then in the feature film the actor played only eight roles, but he made a great career as a TV presenter and author of a number of documentary programs. Borisâs style of conducting television programs is a little similar to the manner of work of Andrei Malakhov, but nevertheless, Boris manages to remain himself.
In 2014, Korchevnikov even received the Order of Merit to the Fatherland, I degree, for the comprehensive coverage of the events of the Crimean Spring.
Ekaterina Malikova as Masha
In the comedy âNew Yearâs Rateâ, the actors starred quite well-known. Ekaterina Malikova, who got the role of Andrei's ex-girlfriend, is no exception.
At one time, the heroine Malikova left the young man for his friend Vadim. But for some reason, when meeting in friendly companies, it becomes clear that she still has views of Andrei. Fortunately, at the end of the picture this love triangle is untied, and Masha realizes that she really loves Vadim.
Other role performers
In the film âNew Yearâs Rateâ, actors Yevgeny Slavsky and Roman Polyansky play friends of the protagonist - Andrei.
Eugene Slavsky is known to the viewer for his work in the series âTime Frontier,â âThe Scream of an Owlâ and âThe Medicine Against Fearâ.
Also in the frame appeared Miroslava Karpovich, Dmitry Dyuzhev (âTeamâ), Mikhail Porechenkov (âPoddubnyâ) and even singer Valery Meladze.
Reviews and reviews
The film âNew Yearâs Rateâ has a rather high IMDb rating of 7.051: this means that the audience appreciated the picture. The overwhelming majority of reviews and reviews on Bedarevâs comedy are positive, although critics note that the very idea of ââcommunicating with a girl from the past was taken from the movie âLake Houseâ with S. Bullock and C. Reeves in the lead roles.
