Side effects of taking the drug are nausea and vomiting, increased liver transaminases, colic in the abdomen, meningeal symptoms, dizziness, headaches, leukopenia, agranulocytosis, thrombocytopenia, granulocytopenia, pancytopenia, pruritus, skin rash, hyperthermia, impaired functioning alopecia. In case of an overdose of the drug, symptomatic treatment is carried out, gastric lavage and the intake of activated charcoal.

With the interaction of this drug with dexamethasone and cimetidine, the concentration of albendazole in the blood increases.
