Fortunately, November 8th is still a popular celebration in certain circles. International Day of KVN is celebrated by all cheerful and resourceful. It doesn’t matter whether you are a party or just an ardent fan, if you have a sense of humor - this is your holiday. When did KVN appear and why did they create a separate red calendar day?

Congratulations on the International Day of KVN are poured from all open sources: radio, TV, Internet. But this was not always the case, once this program was even forbidden to broadcast.
In 2001, the first celebration of the Club Day of the Cheerful and Resourceful was held, despite the fact that the program itself has existed since 1961. For 40 years, she has managed to spread around the world. Even in distant America or Australia, joker competitions are held. Therefore, the celebration was declared international, but celebrate it most often in Russia, Ukraine and Belarus - the ancestral countries.
With International KVN Day, everything is clear, but where did the reason come from? Let's delve into the details.
Start
Back in 1956, a new format “Evening of Fun Questions” was broadcast on the screens of Soviet television. This was the first time that not only artists, but also guests of the program took part in the broadcast. Since the show was a comedy, the participants were asked ridiculous questions that they needed to answer.
A sample of such programs was brought from the Czech Republic. Feature was the live broadcast, so the respondents had only one chance to give out a witty phrase. The founder was the first edition of the youth "Festival Editorial Center."
Who could have expected such a success with a beginner TV show? However, people of all ages watched it, everyone wanted to laugh and get a charge of positive energy.
Unfortunately, despite the success, the transmission appeared on the screen 3 times and closed. The presenters decided to give away a prize for their fans. They promised a gift to someone who comes to the next issue in winter boots, a hat, a coat and a newspaper for December 31. Only now about the last speaker accidentally forgot to announce. Imagine how many people turned over their cabinets, got winter clothes and came to the show? According to stories from old newspapers, even the police did not stop wishing to receive a bonus. On that day, the broadcast of “Evenings of Fun Questions” stopped forever.
Rebirth
Four years later, the editors release a more promising project. Guess which one? That's right, KVN is born here.
The concept has already been changed. Now there were several teams that competed among themselves. Viewers liked this idea, and more than half of the country watched the broadcast. The contingent was of different ages, as everyone wanted to laugh.
The most interesting thing is that KVN was not considered as the “Club of Cheerful and Resourceful”, but was associated with the TV model “KVN-49”.
It is here that the history of International KVN Day begins, the first program was released on November 8, 1961.
But the happiness did not last long, and soon the authorities drew attention to the show, including the KGB. The program was banned from showing on the air and allowed only in recordings where jokes that did not correspond to censorship were cut out. The rules were becoming tougher, it was no longer possible to play a man who had a beard. It was a direct insult to Karl Marx. And in 1971, the transfer was generally banned.
But in 1986, Andrei Menshikov dared to save Soviet humor and give a chance to hold International KVN Day. He again launched the television show and returned his favorite teams to the audience. There were no more pitfalls here, the program survived the collapse of the USSR and survived to this day.
For many team members this is a huge boost in their careers. Experience on one of the most popular TV shows in Russia is very much appreciated by artists. Therefore, many after the resignation have standing orders and invitations.

- Alexander Maslyakov was called in his place. This person has been familiar to everyone since childhood. At the beginning of his career, he was still a student at MIIT and did not even imagine what awaited him. In 1986, Alexander was again called to the post of presenter, he agrees and remains in the show until now. It was he who proposed the celebration of International KVN Day on November 8th.
- Until the close of 1971, there were two presenters in the program. The second was the beautiful Svetlana Zhiltsova, but after the resumption of the transfer, she never returned.
- This list ends with Maslyakov Jr. He has been holding the Premier League since 2003.
