Immunostimulating drug "Polyoxidonium": instructions for use, indications

Polyoxidonium is a medication with an immunostimulating effect. The mechanism of action of the drug is based on the stimulation of antibody formation and the effect on phagocytic cells.

Polyoxidonium in modern practice is considered the most effective drug that has an overwhelming effect on cancer cells; it indicates the immune system in the face of EC cells, natural killers, and the destruction of other cancer cells.

Polyoxidonium also has detoxifying properties, that is, it increases the resistance of cells to the negative effects of drugs and other chemicals, significantly reducing their toxicity.

For cancer patients, polyoxidonium is used comprehensively, it reduces toxic effects on the body during chemo and radiation therapy. With the development of side effects, manifested in the form of vomiting, cystitis, diarrhea, polyoxidonium allows you to not stop treatment according to the standard scheme. - tablets, in the composition of 12 grams of active substance;

- suppositories (rectal, vaginal), produced with a dosage of 6 and 12 grams of active substance.

Different forms of the drug are prescribed depending on the indications. Thus, tablets are prescribed for:

- acute, chronic infections in the sinuses, respiratory tract, in the oral cavity, ear;

- prevention of acute respiratory viral infections, as well as influenza during epidemics.

Sometimes the doctor prescribes treatment in the form of injections of the drug polyoxidonium, the instructions for use contain the following indications:

- tuberculosis;

- herpes;

- inflammatory diseases of a chronic nature;

- arthritis;

- burns;

- bone fractures;

- HIV as a preventative measure of secondary infection.

- for injection, it is necessary to mix the powder contained in the ampoule and a maximum of 3 mg of physiological saline ;

- if the doctor prescribed treatment in the form of the drug polyoxidonium injections, the instruction allows you to enter up to 6 mg of solution per day;

- with drip administration, a special solution is used (from 200 to 400 mg);

- for children from 6 to 12 years old, the daily dose is calculated based on body weight (per 1 kg 100-150 mg).

- prostatitis;

- various inflammatory processes;

- cystitis, pyelonephritis, urethritis;

- treatment of tumors;

- papillomas;

- endometritis, colpitis, salpingitis;

- prevention of childhood infectious diseases.

The drug has several contraindications:

- pregnancy, feeding period;

- allergy to the drug;

- renal failure;

- age up to six months.
