A family

Philippe's father - Pierre Noiret - was the director of a large construction company. In his free time, he was fond of prose and poetry, so a creative atmosphere reigned in the family. His mother Lucy Guillen Erman, a Belgian by birth, was a housewife and raised two children - Philip and his brother Jean, who was born in 1925.

Young years

The future actor was born in 1930 in the city of Lille. When Philip was not even five years old, the family moved to Toulouse - the capital of the French region of the South - the Pyrenees. There he developed a passion for horse breeding, which he carried through his whole life.

At the insistence of his parents, Philippe Noiret goes to study in Paris and enters the Lyceum of Jeanson de Sayy. There he manifests himself as a perfect idler, so his father sends him to graduate from the Jesuit College of Juilli, known for his strict disciplinary procedures.

Not showing zeal in studies, Philippe Noiret at the same time with pleasure performs in amateur performances and sings in the choir. There he reveals a very beautiful voice, thanks to which the young man is invited to perform with the children's choir during the solemn Easter service at St. Peter's Basilica in the Vatican in 1949. In 1950, Philippe Noiret fails on exams for admission to the Paris Conservatory. Then he begins to attend lectures by the stage director and actor Roger Blenn on stage art. At the same time, Philip does not abandon the desire to prove himself in the musical field. In 1953, Philippe Noiret, films with which at one time were very popular all over the world, after a successful listening, became an actor in the National Folk Theater. His first significant works were the productions of Sid by P. Cornell in 1953, Shakespeare's Macbeth in 1954, Don Juan by J. B. Moliere in 1955, and The Marriage of Figaro and others.

At the same time, the actor successfully performs in a duet with his regular partner Jean-Pierre Dara in the famous Parisian cabaret “Gateway”, “Three Donkeys”, “Villa Esta” and in “Jacob's Staircase”.

There, at the National Folk Theater, Philippe Noiret meets his future wife - actress Monique Schaumett. Their wedding took place in 1962, and after some time, the couple's daughter Frederick is born.

In 1955, the debut film directed by Agnes Wardes "Pointe-Kurt" was released, where Noiret plays the main role. However, success in the cinema comes to him after the work “Call on the subway”, and a year later the viewer has the opportunity to watch his play in the star film “Captain Fracass” in partnership with the magnificent Jean Mare.

Then he appears before the public in the image of Bernard in the film "Teresa Desqueiro" and proves that he can successfully perform in a variety of roles.

However, the greatest love among the audience was won by his duet with Annie Girardot in Jean-Pierre Blanc's film “The Old Maid”. The picture told about the usual resort romance, which ends with the separation at the Paris station to the sounds of the magical music of Michel Legrand.
