"The Snow Queen"
The 1957 Snow Queen cartoon is one of Atamanov’s most famous animated works.
This project is a film adaptation of the fairy tale of the same name adored by children of more than one generation of the Danish writer Hans Christian Andersen. The story of how the boy Kai got into the eye and heart a fragment of the mirror of the Snow Queen, because of which he became angry and rude, constantly offended his girlfriend Gerda, people close to him and even strangers. When winter came, Kai went sledding to the Big Square, but at that moment the Snow Queen was there, and the boy decided to tie his sled to her sleigh, after which the two left the city.
Gerda was very worried about the loss of a friend, despite the fact that recently Kai had treated her very badly. Without thinking twice, the girl went in search of a boy. Herd faced many trials and difficulties along the way, but luck, intelligence and a good heart always helped her.
"Paint Thieves"
This animated film produced by the Soyuzmultfilm film studio was released in 1959.
It tells about a toy store in which there were two tubes with pink and blue paint - Biryuzok and Rosita, they like bright, cheerful and sunny things. However, another, evil tube in which black paint is located, decides to destroy everything that is joyful and bringing happiness to people and other tubes with paint.
He had already begun to paint the sea and the sky black, but the outraged good toys called for toy firefighters to help and washed away the black paint from everywhere, and the villain killed the black tube in the water.
"Dog and cat"
This animated film, in the creation of which Lev Atamanov took part, was shot based on the not-so-well-known classic tale of the Armenian literature by the writer O. Tumanyan.
In the cartoon tells about the simple-minded Dog. He brought the furrier Cat a magnificent skin and ordered a hat for himself, and the cunning Cat sold someone else's hat with a benefit for himself to a rich Goat.

This cartoon is as important a project in the history of Soviet animation as the Snow Queen. It was filmed based on the well-known tale of Sergei Timofeevich Aksakov.
It tells about the girl Nastya that she asked her father, a wealthy merchant, to bring a scarlet flower from a distant land to her as a gift. Fulfilling the request of his daughter, the merchant enters the palace of the Beast, where he finds a flower. However, for this he almost paid with his life. The monster let him go, only taking from him the word merchant that one of his daughters would come to his palace of his own free will.
Having learned about this, the youngest daughter Nastya goes to the palace, where she bewitches the Beast.

Cartoon is the exposure of the hypocrisy of the League of Nations representatives on the issue of disarmament and international security.
Its heroes are humanized animals: Fox, Hyena, Leo, Snake, Hippopotamus, Crocodile, Tiger and other predatory animals - representatives of countries participating in the League of Nations. At meetings, they talk about peace and commonwealth, but, in fact, each of them is preparing for new attacks. The chairman of the conference, trying to smooth over the contradictions, sets them up against the Soviet Union, which appears in the cartoon as Pioneer.
