Rash on the palms - a sign of a disease in the body

Any skin disease is a signal of a malfunction in the human body, because the skin is closely connected with the digestive, immune, nervous and other systems. Through skin rashes, the body tries to free itself and bring out an excess of toxins and toxins.

Very often, an allergen acts as the cause of rashes on the skin, and since the hands come into contact with various cleaning, washing, and disinfecting agents (i.e. household cleaning products), as well as cosmetics, animals, and other irritants, rash on the palms of the palms may just be a manifestation of an allergy.

Rashes on the palms can occur with dermatitis, which is an inflammatory process that occurs under the influence of heat, cold, radiation, sunlight, electric current, mechanical (from the action of water, dust, sand) and chemical (household and industrial) factors.

Often, a rash on the palms in the form of watery vesicles arises from sweating (dyshidrotic eczema). The reason here is a violation of sweating in this area, and food allergies, pregnancy, prolonged contact with water, detergents and professional work specifics can be provoking factors. The palms may itch and itch, or they may not bother. It is important not to comb the bubbles so as not to introduce infection into the wound.

Another fairly common disease characterized by a rash on the hands is eczema. This is a chronic disease, accompanied by redness of the skin, swelling and the appearance of vesicles, when bursting which forms a wet surface. When a secondary infection joins, purulent complications develop. Eczema is always accompanied by burning and severe itching, leading patients to neurosis. The causes of the disease are most often endocrine or hereditary in nature and can also occur against the background of neuropsychic stress or constant stress.

The same problem is often observed in children. Rash on the palms of a child may be due to allergies to certain irritants, and may indicate that he has caught an infection. For example, vesicular stomatitis (viral pemphigus) with eczema. In the initial stage of infection, rashes in the baby first affect the hands, then appear on the legs, and when ulcers and pimples cover the oral cavity, the temperature may rise.

Different infections have different symptoms of rashes. So, for the coxsackie infection, the appearance of blisters on the hands of a child is characteristic, and with chickenpox - red spots resembling insect bites.

The most dangerous disease, manifested at the initial stage by a rash on the hands of the child, is considered pseudotuberculosis. First, seals appear on the palms, which then turn red and can even acquire a maroon shade. Such a rash does not cause itching and the baby may not complain about anything, but urgent hospitalization, in this case, is simply necessary.

The rash can be unbearably itchy, especially in the evening, and will not let the baby fall asleep. It is very important to determine the cause of the rash and with the confidence that it is an allergy, it can be alleviated by antiallergenic drugs. If this does not help, then the reason is different, and only a doctor will help to figure it out.

The rash on the palms of the hands may be accompanied by varying degrees of itching (or without it), fever, look like β€œplaques” or β€œvesicles” of different sizes. Doctors have suggested up to several dozen diseases in which a rash on the palms may occur, so it is so important to determine its origin. Only a dermatologist can cope with this task, who, based on the analyzes, will identify the cause and prescribe the appropriate treatment.

Be sure to take care of your hands using cleansing, moisturizing and nourishing agents. When working with various detergents and cleaning products, protect the skin of the hands with rubber gloves, under which it is better to wear cotton ones (to avoid irritation from rubber). Clean and healthy skin is an excellent protective barrier for the penetration of harmful microorganisms.
