The writer was born on June 16, 1931 in Leningrad. In his childhood memories, he writes that he was a very spoiled child who enjoyed the love of not only the whole family, but also friends and neighbors. When the boy was 3 years old, the family moved to Moscow. His mother was a knitwear artist. My father was repressed in 1938 and died. The writer's stepfather was arrested in 1949.

In his memoirs, he writes that he especially remembered one teacher who managed to fall in love with the future writer in his subject and such little-known authors as D. Venevitinov and A. Delvig. This woman also taught at the university additional classes on the Pushkin period.

The student years were marked for Ryashentsev with a passion for bardic song. In those years, this genre was very popular among young people - songs sounded around bonfires, on hikes, and on trains. Then Yuri Evgenievich, together with V. Krasnovsky and Yu. Vizbor began to compose melodies for songs themselves.

First publications

After graduating from the Pedagogical Institute, Yuri Ryashentsev spent the next seven years teaching, of which 3 years he worked in a school for difficult teenagers.

Only in 1955 Ryashentsev began to publish his first works in the journal Yunost. The author himself believes that he should have started to engage in literature much earlier.

In 1962, Yuri Evgenievich was invited to work in the journal "Youth", in the poetry department. The writer worked on this site until the 90s, helping many young poets to publish for the first time.

To date, six poetry collections of Ryashentsev have been published. The first was called The Hearth and was printed in 1967. And the poet’s poems at one time at least once were published on the pages of all the central Russian and Soviet literary magazines.

The second book of Ryashentsev’s poems was published in 1972 and was called “The Clock over the Lane”.

For the writer, the sixties are primarily associated with fame, while Ryashentsev himself says that he has nothing to do with fame and is not interested in it. The poet never wanted to "wake up famous," he was interested in much more interesting things - the surrounding reality, the speed of life, the beauty of nature.

Nevertheless, Ryashentsev had good relations with almost all sixties. Among them are A. Voznesensky, and E. Yevtushenko, and R. Rozhdestvensky, and B. Akhmadulina - with all these people, the writer even managed to play volleyball and tennis. All of them were good friends for Ryashentsev. However, the writer himself does not include them. Yuri Evgenievich says that his main desire throughout his life was one thing: not to have superiors over himself.

The writer's personal life turned out to be quite stormy: he had two divorces. For the first time, Rshentsev married at the institute. This was a rash step, the cause of which was a fleeting hobby. Therefore, it is not surprising that the union did not last long - after a year and a half the couple divorced.

The next wife of the poet was Olga Batrakova, who worked as an editor at Mosfilm and has membership in the Union of Filmmakers of the Russian Federation. In this marriage, Ryashentsev had two children: daughter Maria (1962) and son Eugene (1976). However, in the end, the couple nevertheless divorced. Yuri Ryashentsev does not particularly like to talk about this stage of his life.

Galina Polydi, playwright and librettist, became the next chosen one of the writer. This marriage was the most successful for Ryashentsev in all respects. In addition to his life partner, he found in the person of his wife a wonderful co-author.

To this day, Ryashentsev is married to Polydi. A happy family lives in Moscow.
