Band history
“Murakami” is a group that did not immediately secure this name. In November 2004, active rehearsals began, but the name of the group has not yet been chosen. In December there was a heated debate and long debate over the name. As a result, we stopped at the Murakami.
In 2005, in February, a solo concert was held. The event was attended by about 700 people. For Kazan rock music, this can be considered an unprecedented event. After no 3 months of existence and gaining a new lineup, not a single band has been swaying at a concert of such a scale. The event was a success, and throughout the next year the Murakami band was invited to all the major concert venues in their city.
They also learned about the team outside of Kazan. The guys began to perform successfully in different cities of Russia. The group "Murakami" in parallel with the main concert activity begins recording the first album called "The Seagulls". It was released in 2006. A presentation of this work took place at the Pyramid Complex. In addition, a video was presented for the song "I Unlearn to Fly."
From 2008 to 2009, members of the group are working on the recording of their second Telegram album. On May 15, the collective gives a recital at the Arena, which is dedicated to the release of the record. Album songs are included in the rotation of some local radio stations. The group creates the soundtrack for the film "The Real Tale" by Sergey Bezrukov. The picture was released in 2011.
The team participates in a contest called "New Wave". The composition "About the Urals" falls into the "Chart Dozen" of Our Radio. Later, the songs “Fairy Tale” and “Zero Kilometer” get on the air. In autumn 2011, the group starts the Universiade. Having traveled more than eighteen cities of Russia, the team follows back to Kazan and there begins recording a new album, “Believe”. The output of this work took place in 2011, in December.
