Bergamot essential oil

Bergamot essential oil is a liquid that has a specific bitter taste, a peculiar fresh citrus-fruity aroma and many useful properties. Get it from the peel of leaves, flowers and inedible fruits. The plant is cultivated in the Italian province of Calabria, countries of West Africa, as well as Spain. Bergamot essential oil contains linalyl acetate, nerol, citral, linalool, limonene, terpineol, bergaptol, camphene.

Bergamot oil: properties

It has a pronounced antidepressant, antispasmodic, antiseptic, antipyretic effect. The antiseptic effect of bergamot is greatly enhanced in combining it with sage and eucalyptus oil. Bergamot oil also has analgesic, anthelmintic, choleretic and antimycotic effect. It significantly reduces the level of dangerous cholesterol in the blood, quickly normalizes digestion, thins the blood, eliminates stomach cramps and pains and improves appetite. Bergamot essential oil significantly eliminates the severity after eating, accelerates the healing of ulcers and wounds, helps with various skin diseases, strengthens the muscles of the venous walls, eliminates the IRR, and normalizes blood pressure. In addition, the oil eliminates various inflammatory processes of the sinuses of the nose and nasopharynx, normalizes the secretion of both sweat and sebaceous glands, reduces fever, and stimulates sexual activity. Oil is used in medicine, confectionery, microscopic technology, cosmetology and perfumery.

Application. Bergamot oil is used if available:

- stress, anxiety and fear, depression, insomnia;

- colic, digestive disorders, decreased appetite, obesity;

- tonsillitis, catarrh of the upper respiratory tract, flu, pharyngitis, bronchitis, tonsillitis;

- impotence, frigidity;

- varicose veins;

- oily seborrhea, eczema, juvenile acne, psoriasis, insect bites, herpes, scabies, enlarged pores, dandruff.

Dosage and Administration

Inward use is possible only after consultation with a doctor! Bergamot essential oil is used from two to five drops in one tablespoon of honey three to four times a day.

Means for rinsing the mouth and throat: for various infections, the pharynx, gums and mouth are mixed in 100 ml of warm (not boiling water) boiled water, two drops of essential oil of healing tea tree and bergamot oil.

Aromalampa: in order to clean the strongly smoky rooms they take four drops of myrtle, five drops of bergamot and four drops of limetta; for nervous disorders and exhaustion, lavender oil (5 drops), five drops of bergamot oil and three drops of neroli oil are mixed.

Oil for the sauna: ten drops of bergamot oil and five drops of myrtle, eucalyptus, peppermint.

Enrichment of home cosmetics: five to six drops per five ml of the base.

Cosmetic ice: mix five drops of oil with a teaspoon of quality honey. Then dissolve in 200 milliliters of water, allow to freeze and wipe the neck, face, neckline.

Bergamot essential oil can be dripped onto the surface of the dry tea leaves, covered, let it brew for a while and pour boiling water. In addition, bergamot is widely used for flavoring soups, vegetable and fruit salads, preserves and dessert wines.

It is also a great tan. You just need to add a few drops of bergamot to one hundred ml of suntan oil. It is necessary to apply only after the skin has received a primary tan. Also, the oil is quite successfully used to mitigate the process of refusing cigarettes.

It is important to know that it is better not to apply oil to skin areas that are not protected by clothing during periods of strong sun activity, do not use during pregnancy, and use with care for people with irritable and sensitive skin.
