The story of Ivan Shamyakin "Non-traitorous is clear" is the first part of the "Anxious happiness" pentalogy. It consists of six chapters.
Ivan Shamyakin "Non-traitorous is clear" (summary). Chapter One: The Road to Beloved
"Non-funky is clear" begins with a description of how the main character Peter catches a taxi. He goes to his beloved girlfriend Sasha. At the moment, Peter is 18 years old. He is young, romantic and dreamy, as evidenced by his naive thoughts during attempts to catch a taxi. Soon a group of cheerful, laughing women followed by a truck passed by the protagonist. Peter asks the driver to give him a lift and receives in response: "Five rubles." The student has little money, he refuses and leaves on the road from Rechitsa to Loev on foot. During the journey, Peter reflects on how glad he will be to see his beloved, about what jealousy is and whether it is justified. The meeting of lovers takes place excitedly, they are happy. But Sasha represents Petra to the landlady of the apartment where she lives, her brother, and not the groom.
Chapter Two: The Pangs of Jealousy. Parting
The narration of the second chapter (a brief summary of the chapters accurately conveys the meaning of the work) begins with the fact that late evening comes, and it is time to go to bed. Sasha puts Peter separately. He tosses and turns almost the whole night, deciding whether to offer her intimacy, and whether it will offend her. The hero falls asleep only in the late morning and sleeps until Sasha wakes him up, having run from work to have lunch with his beloved. Before dinner, the daughter of the mistress finds the heroes kissing and tells her mother about it. After lunch, Sasha is urgently called to a pregnant woman, where the girl spends the rest of the day and night.
By this time, Peter was almost crazy with jealousy. The meeting and explanations of Sasha bring relief. The heroes have lunch, and Sasha again goes to work. Peter again misses her and sets off afterwards to the same village. There he draws attention to the enormous desire of his lover to communicate with the local teacher Vladimir Ivanovich Lyalkevich, and, of course, he is again jealous. And so much that he decides to leave his beloved home in Gomel. The girl unsuccessfully tries to hold him, but he still leaves for the night looking.
Chapter Three: An Unexpected Encounter with a Former Classmate
A brief summary (“Non-funeral is clear”) of the third chapter we begin with a description of how Peter leaves Sasha despite the fact that it is already evening. After going through a lot and stopping to rest, he discovers in his suitcase the money left by Sasha. The hero throws them out and goes on furiously. Later, Peter calms down and returns for the money back. The hero is already beginning to think that he will have to spend the night in a haystack, but passes by the village where he meets former classmate Lyuba. Lyuba invites him to sleep, flirts with him and tries to seduce. But Peter absolutely does not like her. He loves Sasha and therefore escapes.
Chapter Four: Husband and Wife
Autumn and winter passed, which is described by the work of Ivan Shamyakin "Non-funeral is clear." A summary of the chapters also reports that during this time Peter managed to go to practice in Western Belarus, where hostilities began. After a quarrel, Sasha writes him a letter first. They are reconciled. At the same time, teacher Lyalkevich was meeting with Sasha, and in order to avoid a misunderstanding of her refusal, she again invited Peter to visit. Peter agrees and arrives. Between the heroes the first intimacy takes place. They are happy, call each other husband and wife. Time passes, but Peter is not going to leave anywhere, having completely forgotten about the incomplete diploma. Sasha insists on his departure, he does not listen, but a notification arrives that he is urgently summoned to a technical school. Peter leaves for Gomel. A few days later, his friends and classmates learn about his marriage.
Chapter Five: Peter's Disease and Recovery
2 months have passed since the day of marriage, young people are happy. But their happiness is overshadowed by the news that the Germans captured Paris. The war is still seemingly far, but at the same time too close. Anxiety does not leave the main characters. Suddenly, a letter arrives to Sasha, in which Peter reports that he is in a hospital with bilateral pneumonia. The girl immediately leaves for Gomel. Throughout the illness (as you can find out by reading our summary “Non-funeral is clear”), Sasha is next to Peter, helping him fight the ailment. Peter is recovering.
Chapter Six: Pregnancy and Forced Parting
Sasha sees Peter off to the army. The girl is pregnant. She wants a boy to be born, and Peter dreams of a daughter. The main character asks to write a letter to his parents. He leaves his beloved woman with a child for three whole years. Peter hopes that Sasha will turn to his parents for help, if necessary. Such events are described by our summary ("Non-traitorous is clear").
The story ends with the separation of heroes. Ahead of the war.
