Leonid Bichevin became known for his participation in such cult films as "Morphine" and "Cargo 200". Currently, the young actor continues to act with honored film masters, for example, such as Alexander Kott, Jos Stelling and Nikolai Khomeriki. He belongs to this category of actors, about whom, regardless of the quality of the film itself (although you need to give it its due - all the works with his participation are good) they say: “But Bichevin played great there.”
Childhood Future Gifting
In 1984, on December 27, Leonid Bichevin was born in the town of Klimovsk, Moscow Region. The biography of his parents is the simplest: his father managed to work in various specialties - both as a driver and a handyman, and his mother worked for many years as a teacher of Russian language and literature. Over time, she quit working at school and began to lead a theater group.
The future actor spent his childhood very actively, he loved to ride motorbikes with the guys, he spent four years playing horseback riding, and attended many circles. He learned early enough to play the guitar and from time to time his performances took place at school. But most of the concerts took place in the courtyard - together with friends they cheerfully performed the songs “Alice” and “DDT”.
Youth: searching for yourself
Bichevin from childhood loved horses, and it is this love that explains the choice of his profession in his youth: he became a student at Kolomna agricultural school. The guy’s dream was to become a breeder and develop special breeds of horses. But in reality, it turned out to be boring to study, and two years later he quit the educational institution.
After some searching for himself, the young man decided to try acting. It was necessary to start with something, and he became a student of preparatory courses at the Shchukin Theater Institute. Having finished them, he without any problems became a student of the institute on the course of Yuri Shlykov.
The beginning of acting
Leonid was admitted to the Vakhtangov Theater immediately after the end of "Pike." Here he played a lot of roles. The most memorable for the audience were the roles in the performances: “Troilus and Cressida” based on the tragedy of William Shakespeare, “Dog in the Hay” based on the play by Lope de Vega directed by Yuri Shlykov, “Masquerade” by Lermontov with director Rimas Tuminas and others.
Like other talented graduates of theatrical universities, the young actor began his work in the cinema with numerous film screenings, which were rarely successful. He does not hide the fact that he tried at the Amedia studio at least fifteen times, but never got anywhere. Looking at it now, we can only rejoice that Leonid Bichevin did not get on the set of TV shows, where his acting talent could hardly have manifested itself in full force.
The first significant films in the career of an actor
In 2006, he played small roles with David Keosayan in the film Three Half Graces and with Vadim Ostrovsky in the film More Important Than Love. Who knows how his career would develop further if by chance he did not get to shoot art-house cinema.
Alexei Balabanov, the director of interesting, but often scandalous films, was just starting work on the shooting of the film “Cargo 200”. During the selection of actors, classmate Bichevina and his girlfriend Agnia Kuznetsova advised the actor to an assistant director. The actress herself has already been approved by the director for the main role, and Leonid Bichevin got the role of dude and farcer Valera.
Leonid Bichevin: filmography
Of course, for a novice actor, acting in such a famous director, albeit in a small role, was already a real success. For the sake of filming in the film, he hid that he did not know how to drive a car, which was necessary on the set, and urgently began training in driving.
The actor was not even afraid that the script of the film turned out to be tough: it simply seemed an unacceptable act to miss the opportunity to work under the guidance of such a talented person, who was considered an honor by domestic masters - Nikita Mikhalkov and Ingeborg Dapkunaite.
In the film “Cargo 200”, the role of Valera’s dude allowed Bichevin’s talent in the cinema to be revealed for the first time. He managed to demonstrate a hidden nerve, internal concentration, as well as the ability to change his state from normal to crazy with lightning speed. His skill was noticed by Balabanov himself, who promised to remove the actor in the future and did not violate this word.
Leap in the career of Leonid Bichevin
In 2008, paintings took place that became iconic in the fate of the actor. The first among them is the youth film "Closed Spaces" directed by Igor V
orcsles. The main role was played by Bichevin - the boy Venya, a recluse of his own free will, who has not left his home for many years. He takes the pizza delivery woman hostage, but later recognizes her soul mate. The beginning of the film is almost a thriller, but soon the movie becomes a comedy. The actor admits that he really wanted Venya to play: "This is such a character of our time who frees himself by the power of his will."
As a result, a kind and optimistic film work came out, beautiful, with an interesting and non-standard storyline that makes you think about the existing problems of youth. The audience liked the actor’s game, his charm and a pleasant smile.
After “Closed Spaces” a drama directed by Ekaterina Shagalova “Once in the Province” appeared, where a guy named Che was played by Leonid Bichevin. The filmography of the actor was replenished with the image of a man living in the harsh reality of provincial life.
And again, bright work with Balabanov
And finally, Leonid Bichevin (movie actor) was again on the set at Balabanov - in 2008 his new film “Morphine” was released. This picture is an adaptation of Bulgakov's stories, the script was written by Sergei Bodrov Jr.
Although the famous director promised to take the young actor back to some kind of film, nobody was planning to shoot Bichevin in Morphia. The main role in the film was a long selection and tests, and then Balabanov himself called Leonid and offered to play.
According to the scenario, Bichevin plays the role of a doctor who, in the struggle for the life of a patient with diphtheria, threatened his own life. He managed to escape from death thanks to an injection of morphine, and in the future the doctor became dependent on him. In order to make the image as truthful as possible, the actor talked with drug addicts, attended a meeting of drug addicts who helped him understand the nature of addiction, play a person whose inner core is destroyed by drugs.
Like “Gruz-200”, the film turned out to be tough, hard and intellectual work. Balabanov and Bichevin managed to make the Bulgakov story of Dr. Polyakov deeper and more interesting, identifying it with the death of an entire country. The execution of Bichevin embodied in the image of a doctor an intelligentsia that hides from problems in its own little world, sitting on morphine.
Newest movie roles
Films with the participation of Leonid Bichevin in the style of an art house brought fame to the actor. And yet, viewers began to recognize him more from other films: the series “Palm Sunday” and “Dragon Syndrome”, from the military drama “Rowan Waltz”. One of Bichevin’s latest interesting works is in the film “Girl and Death” by Jos Stelling. He was perfectly able to create the image of a romantic lover, capable of changing his life and sacrificing a lot in the name of love. The director of the film brought together an excellent cast on one platform, it was Makovetsky, whom until recently Bichevin was a little afraid as a movie meter, Litvinov and the Dutch Sylvia Hooks.
Leonid Bichevin, whose filmography consists of a variety of roles, most of all loves images with a certain degree of madness.
A new film has already been released with the participation of the actor - the film "Chagall-Malevich" by Alexander Mitta, where he performed Marc Chagall; the series "Kuprin", where he plays a gambler.
Actor Leonid Bichevin: personal life
For a long time, the actor had a romantic relationship with Agnia Kuznetsova. Together they were students at VTU. Schukin and began to meet in the second year of study. They have been a couple for seven years.
As soon as both began filming in the cinema and theater, both became busy and as a result less time to spend together, sometimes it was only 2-3 days a month. And despite the fact that young people have repeatedly said in an interview that they are satisfied with this state of affairs, it may well be that this was the reason for their breakup. The separation of the couple was a surprise even for their friends, but it happened.
In 2001, the wife of the actor was Maria Berdinsky. They met in his native Vakhtangov Theater.
Leonid Bichevin and his wife are happy, which is often described in interviews. He is glad that “calm and quiet happiness” appeared in his life, which was given to him by his beloved woman and beloved profession.
