But an unclean colleague is jealous of Viktor’s success in the medical field and is trying in every possible way to discredit him: first he wants to involve the main character in an affair with a young graduate student, then he wants Stroev to be expelled from the party.

Because of his painful relationship with Zoe, the young man gets drunk and gets into an accident. Then another blow awaits him: first, Zoya leaves him to his half-brother, and then it turns out that she was pregnant with him, but had an abortion. Trying to escape from problems and following the example of his father, Ilya goes to Afghanistan as a military surgeon and goes missing.
