Dogwood stewed recipes for the winter: threefold fill

Preserving this drink may seem to someone like spinning cucumbers without sterilizing them. For each three-liter glass bottle we take: a couple of glasses of dogwood, a glass of sugar, sand, water. If there are several bottles, then the number of components is increased in proportion to the number of cans.

Easy to cook!

  1. Compote from dogwood for the winter without sterilization is very simple to prepare - even a novice chef will cope. We sort through the berries, removing the branches with the stalks, rinse and let drain, throwing them in a colander.
  2. While the dogwood is draining, we sterilize the jars in the usual way (you can, by the way, use a microwave), and you need to boil the lids for the spins properly.
  3. Pour berries into the bottle. Pour them with boiling water, cover with lids and leave for twenty minutes to insist. Drain the tincture back into the container (without berries) and boil again.
  4. Fill the dogwood for the 2nd time and again let it brew, but for about fifteen minutes.
  5. And in the jars we add sugar.
  6. For the third time, pour boiling infusion of berries in three liters. And already roll up the prepared caps. Turn it over onto a towel and wrap it in a warm blanket so that they cool gradually. Then remove the stewed dogwood for the winter for storage.

Ingredients and Cooking

How to close compote from dogwood for the winter with syrup? For five cans of three liters, you need to take a couple of kilograms of dogwood berries, three kilos of sugar, water.

  1. We select the most ripe berries, but not yet overripe, because during the cooking process they can burst and spoil the appearance of the final product, giving a cloudy color, and we strive for beauty, aren't we?
  2. Pour the berries with cold water to “acidify” half an hour. After that, we rinse them in a colander in running water and let drain.
  3. We decompose the product into containers, filling the cans up to about one fourth of the volume. One will take about four hundred grams of dogwood.
  4. Pour water into a large container (for five jars) and bring it to a boil. Gradually pour boiling dogwood in jars and let stand for a quarter of an hour.
  5. We pour the infusion without berries back into the pan (this is most conveniently done using a special plastic lid with holes).
  6. Add sugar to the infusion (about three glasses will go for one three-liter bottle), boil the syrup. It is necessary to gradually boil the liquid over low heat until all the sugar has dissolved.
  7. Pour dogwood again with hot syrup, without adding a couple of centimeters to the top of each jar.
  8. Roll up, cover with warm and leave to cool.

Sterilized drink

To close stewed dogwood for the winter, using sterilization, it will take extra time. But this option is well suited if there is no basement to store conservation. A sterilized drink is excellent in the kitchen cabinet without any problems until the spring (unless, of course, it is not drunk earlier). To do this, put gauze on the bottom of the pelvis or bucket - several layers. Top - three-liter with compote. Pour warm water into the basin to 2/3 of the height of the can. And sterilize for 10-15 minutes. Then roll up.
