- As for viral encephalitis, the drug should be taken no later than 48 hours after a tick bite, and in the next five days you need to drink two tablets every twelve hours. As a prophylaxis, this tool is used only in areas where there is an increased activity of insects that transmit the virus.

Although this medicine is relatively safe for human health, its administration is not always possible. To begin with, it is worth noting that treatment and prevention with this antiviral agent are prohibited during pregnancy, as well as for children under seven years of age. In addition, it can in no case be used with increased sensitivity to any component in the composition. Contraindications are also considered: thyrotoxicosis, some diseases of the kidneys and liver. This drug is used very carefully in the presence of atherosclerosis, hypertension and epilepsy.
